Hi Earthy! I use the KJV cause it's the accurate & bible school only allows me to use that one.
I'm a nanny to way to many children & its school holidays & some of them have homework. One of them aged 6 asked me last week "Were there dinosaurs on the ark?" "Were there dinosaurs when Jesus was around" I just quickly said yes to both & got a answer "Well how come they arent in the bible then?" touche I guess lol.

There is an interesting theory on the dinosaurs actually.

The dinosaurs were between the first two verses of the bible.

In the beginning, God created the Heaven and the Earth.

* dinosaurs and then extiction *

and the Earth was without form .....etc etc

^^ I think it was Billye Brim who spoke about this. That there is a space in time between those two verses.

I like that movie too. In fact it was the first movie hubby and I ever saw together when we met. When I saw he liked it so much I started having feelings for him and vice versa on his part.

Everyone uses different bibles, different churches: Jehovah's Witness, Catholic, Protestant etc.
but one thing we do have in common is we all believe Jesus is the way,the truth & the life :)

I'm sorry if I misunderstood you, Chrissy. It just sounded like you were condemning religion. It's what some people do because of religion that can be evil. I know people have different beliefs than us here, so that's why there are different threads. Just as I was asked not to "hijack" a nonbeliever's thread when that wasn't even my intention(long story) my point in my above post is that those who don't share our beliefs should not post here, unless they want to learn more about Christ.
I don't believe the JWs accept Christ as their Savior, but I could be wrong.

Yeah, I am not really sure with JW. It is similar to Mormons. Very different beliefs to the other denominations of Christianity. But yeah no matter what people call themselves, as I said earlier, if they have accepted Jesus to be their Lord and Saviour then all good. God sees our hearts, not what "religion" we call ourselves.

Isn't it wonderful that we serve such an awesome, merciful God!

Hey I'm confused. I tried to type "AMEN" in all caps, but it wouldn't post in the last post. So I just did the first letter "A" and it posted. I don't get it.

this board doesn't allow posts that are all caps. It will change it to be lower case automatically.

You need to just type something else first I think then you can say

"AMEN"

I think it's cos people take offence when someone types in all caps cos it implies that they are yelling.

Jehovah's Witness call themselves Christians because Jesus is their Lord & savior.
God is the one who says the way he should be worshipped & the bible teaches that he does not want us to use images

Exodus 20:4-5, Psalm 115:4-8, Isaiah 42:8, 1 John 5:21

Which is they don't wear crosses.

They don't celebrate Christmas because there is no evidence that early Christians celebrated it.

They have their own bible which is taken from the KJV & also the book of mormon.

I'm not a Jehovah's Witness just been studying them for a while

Such a beautiful song. Sang it about 2 or so months ago in church & was played on tv last Sunday

I am out of this thread. God loves everybody but all faiths DO NOT lead to God.
If you're all gonna start jumping on the 'all faith' train then I won't be joining you.
