Maggie, I will pray! I really support breast cancer research because my aunt died from it when she was 45. I never got to know her because she died when I was 4. Her grandson is the one that was just born, and so she never got to meet her 2 grandsons.
Praying for their walk and that we find a cure for this terrible disease!

Thanks, Jaye! Her mom, Nancy, is a 10 year survivor. Nancy, my mom and grandmother were once in the church choir together and Nancy's daughter, Kristin and I were in Sunday school together. This was many years ago.

My grandmother had breast cancer once, and it never returned, but then she got heart disease, which claimed her life.

I gave them a donation and she added my grandmother's name to her 3day walk page and her name will be added on her shirt. I asked her for one, and I hope she can get me one.

thanks for the welcome! i read from someone here on this thread that Michael was in heaven, so i thought that there was some info on /MJ being born again,,,,

i am a Pentecostal Christian and i was raised Catholic, accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior is the bet decision i have ever made!

what denomination are you Earthsong? and anyone else too? it does not really matter as long as you believe in Jesus we are all one big family of God!

^ Hi Mary, I'm Evangelical Lutheran.. and I want to believe Michael is in Heaven now, but I think no one knows for sure did he convert to Christianity or not..

I have posted this before on this thread but here goes again:

The story that Michael accepted Christ was not true. He did meet with Andre Crouch and his wife a few months before he died, he had questions about the Holy Spirit. They sang together and prayed together but did not say the sinners prayer.
So we do not know for sure what happened, all I know is that when I read that story I had such a sense of joy and peace overcome me and both my mum and I had pictures of Michael with God. We both cried tears of joy knowing that in our hearts, we believed that he was with God now.

thanks for the info but that is the article i read before...i heard from my friend that there was different proof guess i misunderstood. but thats ok we will find out for sure when Jesus comes for us or when we meet in heaven....i sure do pray he was saved and knew Jesus before he died! No one else is worth more than the Lord Jesus!

lets all keep praying for MJ family so tey wll come to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior!

OUR GOD IS GREAT!

In christ is all one has to be
no named faith is required
no public sinner prayer is required
just belief in Jesus Christ as our saviour


Michael believed in Jesus and his teachings
he followed his teachings and quoted him often
he asked about receiving the holy spirit - we was
also preached the gospel by his close friend Chris Tucker
and one of his producers - so it is very likley based on
his heart his generosity and his kindnes and forgiveness
that he was in Christ _ I believe he was -
WE WILL KNOW THEM BY THEIR FRUIT ..

We are told not to speculate on another mans salvation
as we really have no way of knowing for certain ..

I choose to belive he was in Christ
and I hope to meet him on that glorious day

Love that song too. This is embarrassing to admit, but I never knew Marilyn McCoo was an actual pop singer! :) I just remember seeing her as a host on Solid Gold when I was a kid. Now for the first time as a member on this board I feel "young" lol

Great song. I always love to hear the Lord praised in pop songs.

I do agree with what you say Mickie but I also believe that to be saved you must come to the feet of our Lord and ask for forgiveness and accept Him into your heart. It is not enough to just believe in God and do good things.

That's true, Redridinghood, and the Bible tells us that too. Jesus is the only way to Heaven.
One has to be saved to enter Heaven.

Man killed in church after stone altar falls on him

Gunther Link, a devout Catholic, prayed to be saved after he was trapped in a lift – but was killed when he went to church to give thanks and the stone altar fell on him.

Link, 45, died instantly as he was crushed under the ancient 860lb monument in the Weinhaus Church in Vienna, Austria.

Roman Hahslinger, a police spokesman, said: "He was a very religious man and had been scared when he was trapped in the lift and had prayed for release.

"A short while later he was pulled out of the elevator and he went straight to the church to thank God.

"He seems to have embraced a stone pillar on which the stone altar was perched and it fell on him, killing him instantly.

"We have found his fingerprints on the pillar. We are now investigating the case further," he added.

Link's body was found by parishioners attending Mass the next day after he had been reported missing by his cousin.
