Thanks to the downloads of La Toya’s tribute charity song, “Home”, and the proceeds earned from serving milkshakes at, Millions Of Milkshakes, La Toya was able to buy tons of toys, games, food and gift cards as well as donating $10,000 to Aids Project Los Angeles for the children and families affected by the HIV/AIDS virus. La Toya would like to thank everyone who supported this cause and urge them to continue Michael’s charitable legacy and help in the fight to make this world, an AIDS free world. Please go to the La Toya Jackson Channel at www.youtube.com/latoyaonline to see behind the scene footage.

Wonderful to hear this. LaToya gets a lot of stick but she's doing a wonderful job carrying on her brother's legacy. He'd be so very proud.

yeah Latoya is doing a good job carrying on Michael's legacy..however...Michael didn't alert the media every time he donated money to a charity.....right?....Michael did lots of charity work that noone ever knew about..I dont know why everything she does must be made public...almost as though she is looking for credibility.....IDK.

You're right but unfortunately not everyone is like Michael. So many celebs who do charitable deeds announce it to the press but Michael didn't. He always said 'true charity isn't waving a flag and saying look at me.' But a lot of money has been raised for AIDS Project LA and that's the most important thing.

^ Even though I semi-agree with what you said, I still don't want to look at it that way.
We all have a need to feel special, and if Latoya can make herself feel special with contributing to society instead of hugging TMZ papz then I'm happy.
I mean, it ain't exactly like she has any amazing talents?!

Secondly, I could never be mad at a girl in a "Miss Santa" outfit

I tend to agree with you...If she must do this to make herself feel special then ..more power to her.....and about her non amazing talents...:lmao:...I agree.....So God Bless Layota....she is doing a good thing.

She's following through on what she wanted to do [i.e., continue Michael's charitable work]. Good for her.

We talk about Latoya but she is trying to give back. Maybe she is drawing attention because of the causes. Also, to let people know MJ was more than music he believed in helping people.

Thats sweet...and  @ The video...It was awkward in some parts but she got through it... and LOL @ "She's Heavy"

Latoya is sweet and funny...and from all Michael's sibilings, she's the one of the ppl. that is doing the chrities...

After i saw the vid. I thought to myself, Michael made it look soo easy being with children in the hospitals...there was something about him that Children felt comfortable with...and i dont think that feeling is gonna be found with others...

Thankyou for sharing...

^^ You're right. And children were always so well behaved with him, and clung to him.

She's looks so cute with her santa outfit :)

its really nice that LaToya is giving back...I think she carries a lot of guilt of the way she hurt her brother over the years....

good on her for trying make lives better

That's great. It's always good to hear that donations are being made for such a worthy cause. Good job Latoya and keep getting the word out so others may donate as well.

I think this is great of LaToya. I think a lot of needy children got a wonderful Christmas because of her.

I can see your point, but at the same time I prefer her doing something positive for attention instead of coming out with comments like "I'm talking to Michael thru a parrot"... ;)

La Toya would like to thank everyone who supported this cause and urge them to continue Michael’s charitable legacy and help in the fight to make this world
IMO that comment "justifies" her making this publicly. :)

That's very nice. Great to hear some positive news about her :)

I totally agree. La Toya is a simple girl who loves attention, but if she's doing a good thing, more power to her! She's quite the sweetheart actually.

PS LOL at those kids, so hard to please! But the little girl at the end got the cuuutest Winnie the Pooh toy! I WANT IT :wild:

She did an amazing deed. I believe that she wants to encourage and inspire others to give back or donate money or time to causes in the world. There's nothing wrong with that at all. :)

Honestly.. why do you say this.. ?? She invites everyone to participate.. then she MUST tell people, that now the money has been donated... it's not like something she does in private.. don't be unreasonable..
I was so happy to read this, because I happen to be a part of it, and I was wondering when I would hear about the donation. I bought a milkshake, which La Toya gave me (it was fun:)) on halloween night at Millions of Milkshakes, and I downloaded the song. I think she is doing a wonderful little project.. Imagine all that money she has raised!!

I think she's doing great!! Way to go La Toya!! She has to make an annoncement when she invites people to participate - it's logic!!

DEAD @ Latoya calling a small child heavy in front of her parents.

Indeed. She is a simpleton. Poor girl. I don't know how good anyone can feel for doing charity with ulterior motives, but I guess any kind of contribution is better than nothing.

There will NEVER be a purer soul than my uncle Michael. People put him through hell here on earth, but now he is finally free in heaven.

My uncle was truly amazing. Not only did he do all of these things and more. We learned best by his example.

Use your success and fame for good. Visit children hospitals. Give yourself to the less fortunate. Make your music count for something.

That was one of the 1st things our uncle reminded us about when we started having success with 3T. Be charitable and give back.

"True" charity is when you do something for someone or give money or time to something and nobody else knows you did it.

He taught us(my brothers & I) at a young age that it's not "True" charity if you announce it to everyone saying "hey look what I did".3:03 AM Nov 9th from Twitterrific

One of the most important lessons I learned from my uncle Michael... "True" Charity

How do you think Taj would feel, if he knew that you used his twits to take down his aunt? And you call her a "simpleton". I just watched the video, and if I was a child I would feel very happy and safe getting a present from such a sweet and softspoken person. It really gets to me, someone from the Jackson Family is doing a good deed, and what do they get, from people who call themselves fans of Michael, harsh words... if I was a Jackson I would have been frustrated a long time ago...

I agree, that's unnecessary. Why do people have to read something into every little thing. She has good intentions right? There are people who deserve criticism much much more than someone trying to do a nice thing. Geez.
