Yeah, this is definitely not him. Compare it to Hold My Hand or WBSS 2008 or ANY other song by Michael Jackson. It's not his voice at all. Somebody's fooling us in an ugly way. I can't believe that we had been waiting for so long and got only this fake shit.

guys comon, its got to be mj, why the hell would they put out a fake person singing, listen to shout and 2000 watts, this is experimental, and its gonna cauze mayhem, i bet the rest of the album sounds like classic mj, ITS MARKETING TO MAKE INTEREST!

This has GOT to be a Publicity Stunt to create hype for the album. But I'm furious that they made the fans stay up all night and get excited for this. :(

Guys, I am very upset. First, this chorus part is overshadowing Michael's voice. The only thing I am certain is his is Hee hee and Ow. Then, there is a line of him singing, but this chorus is so messy that I think it was put in to cover something. I hope the other songs have only Michael.

Well I am VERY dissapointed.

The song would have actually been okay if it was MJ's VOICE on it. UGH.

Michael might have been singing in certain parts, but I don't believe the majority of the song is him. Like Taj said, the vibrato is totally different.

How did Sony think we as MJ fans, many who've been listening to him since we were kids, would not notice an imitator from the real thing?

I'm so upset and dissapointed.

Poor MJ. He does not deserve this! The man was a PERFECTIONIST. He would have been so upset.

Finally go through to MJJC. I can't believe this, you guys. It's GOT to be a joke, a hoax, a publicity stunt! And I can't believe some fans are saying it's MJ. It is NOT Michael!!!!!! It's Jason Malachi or someone! I've been a fan for 30 years! It's not Michael! Omg. I seriously feel sick right now. Please someone tell me it's a joke and that I'm not trapped in some crappy alternate universe!

Points for a stunt: They didn't tell us the tracklist yet (maybe because this hoax song is not on it?! Please God...) .... and the teaser contained only the song up to where the fake vocals would begin (because they knew we'd know) ... then tomorrow they announce it's fake? Or what? I can't comprehend the theory behind this. What's going on??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and the guy in that track is not him... But the background vocals sounds like Michael.

This song is totally unfinished.

Gosh, after this... I actually prefer Hold My Hand as the lead single now. At least I know for sure that it's Michael's voice.

About 8 hours ago I wrote that it would be certain that some fans would question the validity of voice after we heard "Breaking News" (and actually called them "idiots in advance)

Now that I 've heard the song I am in the tragic position to be one of those idiots because I really don't think this is Michael in "Breaking News". Seems to me that Sony is testing us so that they can "discover" more songs in the future. (Perhaps this is why they leaked this "Opis None" shit to ruin the family's credibility which they did). I am so sad right now ...

Guys please calm down! The song was UNFINISHED they said it from the start! It's not Malachi, surely the voice is heavily edited to cover the gaps and it isn't the lead single anyway!

I noticed that too when I played the song for the first time. Wasn't sure what to think so I came here to see what the fans are saying and I see I'm not alone.

If it can be proven that this is Michael, there are going to be a few of feeling a bit ashamed that we didn't recognise a bit of MJ-experimentation (myself included).

This song...'Breaking News'....nobody has EVER heard of it before...I mean...it was never part of the list of the unreleased stuff he's written.....it just seems so fishy..you know?

I don't know what to think. I think it's a great song, but I can't decide whether it's him or not. Which is stupid, 'cos all logic points at it being him. As I said earlier tonight -- it doesn't make any sense using an impersonator/voice-alike/whatever, and I still stand by that... But the family's got me doubting. This sucks.

The thing is, I strongly doubt I would've had the same reaction if none of them had said anything... Of course he'd be experimenting. Of course he'd be trying out new things. On 2000 Watts his voice sounded very different from what we were used to as well, and that was 6 years before this was (allegedly) recorded.

I don't know. Need to listen to it more, and need more time to think.
