Two points:

There is no point in registering if you can't go and then thinking about giving it to another fan who can because the names won't match up and you are required to take ID.

Also, they will be checking if you are an American citizen, so also no point registering if you live outside the USA.

EDIT: Making up a zip code still won't work because your ID will show you aren't from the USA!
 
yes its streamed world wide i suggest ppl read the thread as it will get big with ppl asking questions were the aswers have already been posted. doesnt take 2 mins to skim through the thread. did anyone write down the times of when they will let ppl know if they have tickets or not?

Unless you can go with someone else who is a U.S. resident. Hooking up with someone. Chances are this isn't an option for most, though. This is ridiculous. They said worldwide, didn't they? Or was I just hearing things? (I can't go anyway, but I feel for those of you who "can".)

I'm glad there is something public and broadcast live everywhere. I would feel no closure otherwise, but I'm also disappointed. Do you think it's just because California is broke right now and officials don't want to have to pay for more police, roads blocked off, etc? I had pictured thousands bowing their head around Staples Center. I find it very sad in a way that it won't be like that. I just hope that any ticketless folks are cooperative with authorities, but ... I still wish for a huge scene, you know. In my gut I still want to see hundreds of thousands there. I can't help but feel that Michael deserves the biggest memorial in history. But I don't think I have energy anymore to get very upset about anything. :cry:

I think they meant worldwide streaming.

Also I think they are doing it this way to try to get people to stay at home and watch.

It's all to do with safety etc.
 
The jackson are handling this very well. TOO many ppl would come if they didn't set things up this way. I thinks it's really good to do it this way. And we all know how some mj fans can get crazy. This is the best option IMO. Safety first!
 
The family will release NO details about the public memorial.

And they will have a private one earlier in the day.
 
I watched it, I am pleased that the tickets will be free, however there are no details related where exactly Michael will be laid to rest.
