There's more than 24 releasable tracks, there's over fifty.. and that's been confirmed. Just because they were considering twenty four doesn't mean that's the real figure. Please don't spread false information. Thank You. And qbee is right, let's wait for the estate to respond.

Sorry this is kinda off-topic, but I was wondering about that yesterday. Could anyone direct me to somewhere where it's confirmed how many "releasable tracks" there are?

He has gotten an unfair amt of hate and been totally dumped on by the tabs, and that reminds me of what they did to MJ--i.e. destroyed his reputation..

Agreed. He may be an asshole now in all honesty, but before 2013 he was allgood and yet he still got universal hate from everyone for the stupidest reasons. If anything, all the hate that he's gotten over the years has likely factored into why he's turned into a asshole.

those bieber vocals on sttr were horrible. disrespectful to mj.

I'm not a Bieber fan but his vocals were fine to be honest on the leaked remix of STTR. If anything, the remix wasn't actually that bad and I'll gladly admit to jamming to it from time to time last year (not that I want it released, I don't).

I agree about his popularity though. It's pretty much plummeted over the past year or so (seriously I was just realising the other day how I've heard almost nothing about him in months and I'm normally up to date with that sort of stuff) and there is almost no benefit of releasing a remix featuring him.

Oh for Christ sakes.

Justin has proven that he's unable to be on the same level of the greats, so why put him there? It made sense for the other Justin (Timberlake) to be on the track, because he has made some great records...but Justin Bieber?

Maybe as a way to promote the single and album it would be ok to have it as a bonus track on the single.

Single with 4-5 versions of STTR

1. album version
2. demo version
3. remix version
4. another mix version
5. JB duet version

I really despice JB and hate all his music and everything about his person - BUT from a sales point of view I can understand why they would do it. Also the JT duet has huge succes, so they might think another duet will help promote the album. - And as long as it is only released as a bonus on the single I'm fine... - I will just never ever listen to that track.

The difference is that Justin Timberlake is quite respected these days, Bieber not so much. Timberlake has also constantly and consistently proven time and time again he can sell well. Bieber hasn't done so well this past year or two.

If Bieber was A LOT bigger (and at least somewhat more respected), I wouldn't mind so much but because he isn't, there isn't any benefit. Because so much hate gets thrown at anything Bieber related as well, all it's going to do is draw negative attention to the project.

I might have enjoyed the leaked remix but even I think there's no benefit to releasing it (if anything, the negatives outweigh the benefits).

I can understand and agree with everything you said...

STILL - the little JB actually still sells well with the youngsters - little girls especially - and that might be a way to introduce them to MJ.

I do not hope a JB duet does get released - BUT I can understand if they do it - that's what I meant in my previous post.

Xscape will in no way be ruined or anything if a STTR single gets released and it includes a JB duet IMO.

I get what you're saying and at least partially agree with some things (i.e. Xscape will in no way be ruined. I mean hell, I really dislike Pitbull but he didn't ruin Bad 25 for me because I didn't even rip his damn rap off the CD. It's almost non-existant to me :p)

Honestly, I don't think Biebs is selling as well with younger kids anymore. His latest album sold pathetically and the movie counterpart flopped too. I like the idea of introducing younger fans to MJ, but I feel other artists who are not only bigger and more respected, but are also doing a better job in the entertainment world would be a better choice (i.e. Bruno Mars, JT etc). I just think that we have a lot more better options than Bieber - he just doesn't have as good of a starpower as he used to. Maybe he'll regain it in the future, who knows, but that's then. Now is now and right now, he just isn't as big. It seems most pre-teen/teen girls in his target audience have moved onto other artists, such as One Direction most notably.

In saying all of this, I think Biebs has actually introduced quite a few of his fans to MJ though in all honesty. I've seen many tumblrs/instagrams etc over the past few years that were dedicated to both JB and MJ.

I don't care if an MJ/Bieber duet will bring in Bieber's army of 13-15 year old female fans. It's degrading to Michael, and it would be a really shallow attempt to sell records.

Michael's dignity is more important than getting a number 1 record

My answer is no, but I do not understand why people hate JB so much… I just do not understand it.

Drugs, rudeness to random people with no reason, spitting on people, pissing in a public place (in a restaurant), throwing eggs on people homes, being in prison recently...

He's not a good person.

And his music sucks

Well, I have to admit that I do not know much about him or his music …

But I would say that it is his and his parents’ problem … Maybe he is not a good person but he also is a young person, most likely he just needs right people near and more privacy. Something tells me that people around him are fine that public hates him and hurts me eventually.

Besides the reasons Onir gave, I despise him because his "music" is crap and not artistically respected. JB has let the fame going up to his head making him act like a real and unlikeable douche. His attempts to copy many things Michael has done look desperate, pathetic and have failed miserably. I mean, when he was arrested, comparing himself for an idiocy he made (DUI) with a true horrific and unjust lynching Michael went trough for a crime he never committed was a jerk move.

Why degrading Michael, a truly respected artist for a no. 1 record if JB has zero credibility, replacing partially Michael's killer vocals with JB's average voice was a horrendous result?

People hated him before all that, though. It was just in the last year that he did all that.

And Chris Brown is more of a hardened criminal, yet people seem to not dislike him as much. I don't see Brown getting even half of the hate thrown at him.

No worries, I actually hate women beater, scumbags, no matter if they are hardcore MJ fans. I just despise JB, not hatred.

How about whores who cheat their boyfriends with every man in the music industry? (I don't approve what he did though).

Cheating on spouses, partners is an immoral and unethical act in both sexes, I don't condone it from anyone but it's not a crime. Beating the hell out of someone who is physically weaker than the other is a crime.

Anyway. I don't want to see her anywhere near Michael Jackson song or album.

I can't believe some people are actually defending a possible Bieber inclusion on whatever freaking song. It's the worst freaking thing that they can do.

The kid's an asshole, untalented as "F" and his inclusion would be just as bad as releasing more Cascio songs.

for me, i will not, 100%, buy a michael jackson album or single that contain bieber. i will totally boycott this.
