Buy the concert is from 80's. And the source is VHS tape. To each his or her own, but if the original source is 4x3, I don't want then to chop the picture just to fill my widescreen tv.

When a video that was originally shot in 4:3 plays in a widescreen 16:9 format it means the picture has been stretched so that it fills the screen on a widescreen tv, but it affects the aspect ratio.

I'm not wanting the picture stretched, i don't want mj short and dumpy, but tall and lean, and i don't want the top and bottom of the picture lopped off, so i'm good with the black bars.

What's more likely is that the VHS source they are talking about is probably the only footage of the gig that the Estate/Sony has access and/or rights to.

Yeah, initially he didn't want to perform it but when Diana told him it's her favourite he put it back on the programme (and dropped TWYMMF instead).

With regards to the live CD - the official website says a CD 'showcasing' the audio from the concert. Am I to assume it won't be the full concert? Would they be able to fit the whole gig on one CD? The runtime of a CD is 70 odd minutes?

Mike said that when he spoke to Diana before the show he told her he took it out of the setlist in respect for her. He didn't actually say that he didn't end up performing it though.

I've seen an old review of the 16th July gig and they mentioned Dirty Diana, and the Princess smiling when it was played.

Yes, but I'm sure they'd edit out lengthy audience applause etc, etc, after each song...I don't know....

Nobody has said it isn't on the DVD. If it was performed that night (which it was) then it will be on there.
