I saved a story from 2001 onto a CD and now the damn file won't open right!! The first chapter is all corrupted with symbols and crap. It's a .doc file.
Not sure how to fix it.

Myas, when you go to open the doc, from inside word, do you make sure the 'files of type' list is set to 'all files'? try that.
