ok, just read the thread you posted Tom and I love you like a lil bro but honestly some of us get defensive over the SMALLEST things. We all know that there will never be another Michael, even Blanket and I adore him, but even HE will have to deal with the "not like his dad" comments if he ever chooses to go into music. But the kid is 4, Blanket is 7, let them be kids and ENJOY themselves. The term may irk us, but arguing over it and demeaning those who say "the next MJ anything" will not solve anything. A simple "I disagree" could have avoided all of that from what I read. I know he started name-calling and whatnot which I DO NOT AGREE WITH, it was wrong, but it seems to me that he got on the defense because people entered the thread on the defense just by reading "next Michael". I love Michael, more than a lot of people know and more than I'm willing to share with others, but HE would not like us getting defensive and arguing over the simplest things. Have you ever seen MJ watch other people dance to his music or do his moves, he didn't get defensive and say "oh, it's not as good as mine" he actually laughed, and clapped and cheered them on. He was about encouragement, and i'm sure seeing this lil boy dancing and locking so well at FOUR years old would have made him cheerful. Let's look beyond the pettiness please and remember the message. I hope you guys don't HATE me but I'm a logical person and I will continue to tell you all what I think, even if you don't ask for it. :cheeky:

That does seem fair but to be honest, he should have made it clearer from the get go. I like others read the 'Next Michael' part before anything else and I wont accept anyone as the next michael no matter what their age, yes even their looks.

So can you explain why he had to resort to comparing me to Adolf Hitler and Josef Stalin?

I think you are right about Tom's situation, but I still feel for poor thing.
 
Tom NO, I cannot explain that. I said I DID NOT agree with that and that he was wrong in those actions. Believe me, I am not defending him by any means, just looking at the situation from both ends the way it began. Like Limon said, ignore it and let it be. The thread is locked and basically it was locked because something so simple could not be discussed without resorting to arguments.

Onward and forward.
 
My sister drove for 6 hours just to come see this movie with me and her friend and I'm like, in the worst mood right now...like I almost wish I was seeing it alone. I know they know it's a big thing for me but I dunno how much they really understand. I just feel like I could cry right any second so I'm just avoiding them for now. Uggghh this sucks. I don't want to ruin it for them. :( I didn't think I'd be so weird about it.
