I've only seen the Brazilian version. Um.. I kinda dig this one... more than the original. Love me some Spike Lee too.

So what's the deal with this? Why was it banned? If you ask me it NEEDED to be seen.. I'm telling you freaking MTV and BET will show bullshit ass videos for DAYS but won't ever show you a video like this one, one that actually SAYS something, a commentary about this fucked up world we live in. Bunch a fucking losers!

i agree...they can show a credit card being slid down a girls ass but can't show THAT?? i was expecting it to be muuuuch worst when i heard it was banned. that is a normal video and went with the song...i dont get it

Yeah, I prefer this one just so much. Honestly, the Brazilian one isn't a favourite of mine, of Mike. But maybe that's just because I am a long-hair fetishist kinda girl :chuckle:... :D anyways don't really know the story behind it too...

Hello! Me either! Banned for what? THAT is what I don't get.. I didn't see any naked asses or anything that would need banning! Whatever to those losers!

I wanted him to be rougher tho. I was waiting for him to throw one of those tables over. That woulda been hot.

The Brazilian one is just okay for me too.. like you I prefer Mike with longer hair. I did like the changes he made for Olodum though but overall the video was meh for me. He just seemed to have bad luck with the song and the videos anyway, with the lyrics and then being able to shoot in Brazil and then the other video gets banned. A hot mess all around. Folks just needed to back off off that dude for real!

It was considered too inflammatory.
The images could upset :)wtf2) each race or religion.
I think the real reason: MTV is made up of racists f*ckheads.
Whitie is too scared of his black brother showing the damage that they've done. Whitie would rather hide and not admit his wrong doing. (I'm white.)

nite callaendia... I like ghosts too... I like his acting. It was something that wasn't explored... and I love the ghost-dance... lol. Another gem. But even though I get the symbolism, it doesn't touch me that much, dunno why... I guess I get into the way it's made more :) :) :)

probably cause he told "them" to fuck off :lol: there's actually 2 prison vids, in one he is signing at the end, in the other they block that part off. But um, you know they tried to make a huge deal out of the song too, that's America for ya, anything MJ gets twisted and turned around into something blown out of proportion. *back to reading*
