Any Tickets Sold Out Yet?

So far 9 showings from Pathé Arena in Amsterdam have been fully sold out. None in the other Pathé's in Amsterdam yet as it seems....

I bought tickets for the 28th to Pathé de Munt because that was the only one available online at midnight. The others were only added later. Pathé Arena is very close to my work (5 mins walk, so I'll likely go there quite a few times after work :)).

Below link shows the current status of which showing still have tickets:

Not sold out here. I looked at a few AMC theatres here in my area and all have tickets available for all shows.

When I bought my tickets for an evening session on Friday Oct 30th, the woman said it was sold really well for the first three days. There was a limitted amount of space to choose from and this was 2pm on the day of the ticket release :) Im in Australia btw

But there were NO posters at all in the cinema!!

I think it's doing well. Better than I expected anyway 'cause I didn't think too many ppl outside of MJ fans would wanna see this so I think it's doing pretty good, but the promotion for TII has been a little weak though if you ask me.

That's what the lady said to me when I got the same session here at Redbank. All the cinema websites that are showing the movie have advertising all over their websites, I don't know about the actual cinemas though, last time I went in to see "Charlie In Boots" there wasn't a poster in site, but the manager said they were on their way though.

Has anyone seen the trailer on the tv here in the uk? The only time i have seen it is on the mtv music awards. There was a full page ad in a newspaper & that is it. I really hope it's not going to be a flop here.... :(

No I haven't seen any advertising on TV, in magazines or posters, BUT I did hear an advert on KISS FM on Saturday.

Advertising seems to pretty low key here in the UK, but it could be that I'm not in their target audience and so missing all advertising. I haven't read a newspaper for over a week, don't watch Corrie (the usual place for an MJ advert) and haven't been to any cinemas recently.

I expected more advertising for this. Where are the massive Billboard posters? :D

The lack of advertising seems to be reflected in the low number of tickets sold in my area. when I check the nearest Vue and Odeon sites there are only a maximum of say 15 - 20 seats sold in each showing that I check!

I'm seeing the 8pm showing at the Empire Cinema in Poole on the 28th and almost all the tickets have sold out.

no point promoting it to the general public until nearer the time. its a month till release. promote now and by the time it comes out joe bloggs will have forgotten about it not many ppl pre book the cinema its all about the walk up audience that is gained from reviews and the general hype when the actual release happens. its a movie not a concert its a select audience of mainly fans and the curious who were planning on going to the shows

Any information about first day sales??

Keep in mind guys not everyone is going to buy the ticket ASAP.. especially mid week.. it will sell a bit better this weekend.. once Friday hits, people are at the theatre, possibly see a poster or cardboard cut out for it (like I did) :), see the trailer for it telling its ON SALE date, (like I did with FAME), etc.. that's when tickets will pick up a bit.. ALSO people never figure tickets will sell out a month early.. By the time the movie is actually released is when it will sell like crazy.. I mean even for some of the biggest movies people simply wait right before the movie is released to purchase tickets.. PLUS tickets usually dont go on sale a full month prior to its released. Its a good thing though because throughout the month tickets will sell more and more..

and what really matters is what it makes its opening week.. which (if im not mistaken) will be all the figures of what was purchased for the first week throughout this whole upcoming month prior to release and attended that first week

There are no ads on TV as yet. My friends will buy at the cinema if there are tickets left?
They are showing it 4x a day here in LA. But lots of times at the Regal 14 at LA Live.
I have such a hollow feeling in my heart. Don't know..

I'm in the US and the theater i wanted to see it in SEVERAL TIMES only had one time left so I grabbed it!! the theater that was my second choice was sold out completely!

so i did the logical thing and panicked :tease:and bought the rest of them at other theaters.

is there any word that they'll extend the showing?

I know where i live wit is in Exeter UK they have fully sold out of the frist date 28th oct, and 29th one is nearly selling out at the Vue cinema.

Sony released a statement saying over $1 million dollars worth of tickets were sold in Japan pre-sale yesterday alone. Plus over 30,000 tickets were sold in London beating the past records of Harry Potter, Lord Of The Rings, etc. That's a brand new record! Apparently people were lining up down the street in France and many other countries. Sony reported that "hundreds" of screens were sold out in North America alone with hundreds more internationally. I'd say...amazing success.
