Akon's New Album Release Date -- HMH Not 1st Single

Rap-Up.com has learned that Akon will release his third studio album Freedom on November 25th. The album had previously been titled Acquitted. A first single has yet to be chosen.
Akon is due in court a week after his album release on December 1st to stand trial on criminal charges stemming from a fan-tossing incident last summer.

Freedom? Is Hold My Hand still coming out?

got a Southern hip-hop Outkast BOB-like drumming over writing style of The-Dream's retarded stutters. it's a mess, imo.

Can't wait til' Akon album comes out Nov... maybe something will happen with HMH then. We got almost 2 months. I'm just thinking differently. :lol:

lol umm.....I think you might be right. :flowers: And I think Akon hinted that HMH would NOT be his first single on the last interview we saw of him (posted in the other HMH thread). So, it's all good. Looks like his album will be released the week of THANKSGIVING...IF things continue to go as he plans. Nice. :)

As for the song "Right Now"...it does nothing for me right now...na na na. :lol: Basic beat and kinda meh. I like the "fly" part tho.

they've been very positive all 'round the net and music boards ever since Akon's solo version started floating about several months ago. it would be a hit if marketed properly.

I reckon he might have missed the boat when it wasn't released soon after the leak, thats a real shame cuz it has had such a good response from the public.
I really didn't think it would be released this autumn because it has a summer vibe, maybe he might release it in the spring, 'crosses finger's'

He did change the title because Michael had said "Acquitted" reminds people of his trial. And probably it's also because Akon himself won't be acquitted. Sad or not, he won't be. I think "Hold My Hand" won't be released as a single but it will be on the album.

I hope it will be ON the album, not in. :lol: I'm not sure if Michael fans are going to sell the album that much. Maybe only the single. And it's said it will be on Michael's album too.
