I'm hoping for a thriller 40 documentary blu ray bonus making of thriller in the new year
I don't believe the story you send is real cause it looks over-exaggerated and has inconsistencies to believe it is fiction, but I agree with some of your views on MJ which makes the story somewhat plausible.Again I am not sure if I believe it, but I think it's not that far stretched to straight away dismiss it the way it was done here. I know Michael was very nervous during the recording and cried a lot, had a lot of small nervous breakdowns in life and even panic attacks, I also know he had a very dualistic relationship with his father, which was definitely not just fear but also amazing admiration, so a scenario where Joseph (or even other family members) would have to come in to calm MJ down (forcefully or not) after being hysteric from something small just doesn't seem that unbelievable to me, sorry. Again not saying this guy tells the truth or twisted it
And you've been quite rightly shut down in here for posting this nonsense so maybe you will get a better reception in a thread dedicated to absolute drivel.Did you see the 'Thriller 40th Anniversary' documentary? They talk about this video called 'Thriller'
i would absolutely be up for this on blu ray.I'm hoping for
I'd rather have Thriller & Beat It videos or the Victory tour on blui would absolutely be up for this on blu ray.
Well not 'quite rightly', that is the whole problemAnd you've been quite rightly shut down in here for posting this nonsense so maybe you will get a better reception in a thread dedicated to absolute drivel.
No one is sensitive about it, were cynical. Because they've made the man the butt of every joke and untruth you can think of for the past 40 years. So you need to approach the topic with a littleI don't believe the story you send is real cause it looks over-exaggerated and has inconsistencies to believe it is fiction, but I agree with some of your views on MJ which makes the story somewhat plausible.
One thing I realized is that most people on this forum are very sensitive towards any form of negativety towards MJ and dont really have an open mind on some topics. Id also like more of these types of arguments/opinions but fans here dont accept it.
You can see it another way, that MJ had principles and beliefs, regardless of how you feel about them, that he was persuaded to disregard and compromise on. By a greedy businessman (Branca) who may or may not have had MJs ultimate good in mind. Who's still now alive and reaping all the benefits of MJs talent and creativity while MJ.... Is pushing up daisies.Branca has mentioned in the past that MJ wanted him to burn the negatives before convincing him to put the disclaimer at the start of the video. It's ironic he didn't tell that story for this doc.
I said I agree the story by anonymous source is most likely made-up. Being cynical is also good.No one is sensitive about it, were cynical. Because they've made the man the butt of every joke and untruth you can think of for the past 40 years. So you need to approach the topic with a littlemavitygravity.
There was a very good, seemingly honest account of MJs life in his last years, by his bodyguards. When Bruce Swedien tells his stories about MJ crying, I'm inclined to believe him. There's loads of confirmed tales of MJ having emotional struggles. And with good reason.
But not some "anonymous source" on a website that isn't validated.
The word sensitive is very, aggravating to me, not gonna lie.If you think people here arent sensitive than you lack reality.
This is very true, and I think the same thing about the blind defensiveness sometimes. I've even seen some defending the baby dangling incident which is insaneSo we as fans all have to defend him, but defending does not mean to blindly combat any negativety or not good stories about him or peoples opinions or whatever, there is so much interesting Michaels life and persona to discuss, even his 'flaws' are interesting.
(1) nobody said we are going to start talking about all that, Im just saying that we dont have to obsessively defend everything he did or as you say, not talk about things which puts a 'bad light' on him (both of these are actually irrational and immature). We are not gonna start talking about all the times MJ was an idiot now. Just because we're rational doesn't mean we need to derail. Especially when this was brought on by an inane, completely ridiculous tall tale by an anonymous source.
The things he did I don't like, I try not to bring up. What would you wanna be remembered for when you're dead?
I thought we agreed that MJ was stilll scared shitless of Joe around Thriller; cried a lot, could be very, very dissapointed with small stuff, had a lot of breakdowns and even manies. So yeah the story might be false, it might be exaggerated or out of context but 'inane and completely ridiuclous' it is notEspecially when this was brought on by an inane, completely ridiculous tall tale by an anonymous source.
it isbut 'inane and completely ridiuclous' it is not
It's not up to you. But this is gonna get away from you so, whatever. The mods will just have to have their way.(1) nobody said we are going to start talking about all that,
And there's very little that really does to be true. Complaining about Invincible doesn't count. The Blanket incident, sure, that was pretty bad.not talk about things which puts a 'bad light' on him

Sorry I dont understand what you mean. I reffered to this:,It's not up to you. But this is gonna get away from you so, whatever. The mods will just have to have their way.

I know there isnt that much but michael was a much talked about person for a reason, he was eccentric, and there are topics on his life which can have interesting debates/conversations.And there's very little that really does to be true. Some people will just run away with this idea and start derailing things entirely. So it's just better not to do it right now. Save it for the next tabloid type of thread, is all.Sorry I dont understand what you mean. I reffered to this:

But lets stop this cause its getting off topic.
Please explainit is
It’s funny how literally nobody out of the fandom talks about T40 another proof the estate doesn’t have any clue how to save MJs Legacy well…
Yeah I to find that very weird. I guess because they maybe didn't say much that we didn't already know. & the entire 30 seconds of clips were the only thing I think anticipatedIt’s funny how literally nobody out of the fandom talks about T40 another proof the estate doesn’t have any clue how to save MJs Legacy well…
It just occured to me they probably can't even talk about Rod Temperton's songs, or Quincy Jones. That or they just prefer not to.Additional note,I just watched it yesterday for the first time. Why is Beat It being played like 3-4 times in the doco while Lady Of My Life, PYT and Baby Be Mine is hardly heard at all? I mean, I get that Beat It is a bigger song. But the ending notes should have had a different song!
And why cut it at 90 minutes when you could have had 115 and included the story about PYT, Baby Be Mine and Lady Of My Life?
