It doesn't look like it will be released in US so I'm waiting to see our members to try the UK version to see if it's region free.

If it's not the alternative is to wait for June and order the Japan version (Japan and US is the same Blu Ray region). Shipping will be high I guess.

DTS sound, HD picture - WOW!
And someone asked if it's playable on PS3 - the sticker on the box says it is.

Just watched Moonwalker on Blu-ray on my PS3, just incredible, so much more detail, especially Smooth Criminal video, and its that good the definition, you can see the wires in the Smooth Criminal lean! Awesome, everyone must own the Blu-ray disc.

Moonwalker on Blu-ray has so much better colors than the DVD/VHS version. This was the first thing that i noticed the first time that i watched it on my PS3.

The small details and the amazing sound are things that i really love on Blu-ray.

The DTS HD track is outstanding !!!. :punk:

If this is working on the PS3, does this by any chance make it safe to assume it will work here in the U.S.?

All American Blu-ray players (American PS3s included) are region A while Europe is B.
However, if a disc is unrestricted it will play on all regions. This release of Moonwalker doesn't say anything about region restrictions, so it should work.

Okay, those screencaps are phenomenal. I'm about ready to pull the trigger on this, but can someone concretely confirm that the Blu Ray is region free/compatible with North American PS3? Thanks alot!

There are no region restrictions given on the box, so I do not know for sure. But on it, there is a sticker, which says it can be played on PS3.

Just finished watching this blu-ray - I agree with everyone who has said that the sharpness of colour and definition is great - the CGI in the robot/spaceship conclusion looks utterly superb! The Claymation in "Speed Demon" shows its age but loses none of its charm.

Another plus point is that the subtitles cover ALL the words INCLUDING song lyrics!! In previous releases - and on TII, too - as soon as a song starts the subtitles would cease until another spoken word was uttered (which, in a film as packed with songs as Moonwalker meant frequent prolonged gaps), but now the subtitles run throughout, even during "The Moon Is Walking" :-D

Very pleasing, IMO!

can someone confirm that it will play on an American PS3? I don't want to waste my money if there's a chance of it not playing.

I do not know whether it will play on US PS3s and Blu Rays. I'll try and find that out for everyone.
