To Catlovers

I think this is an important message from Asher House
You can see D.A.R rescue has it's name in the middle of the picture, probably to prevent others to steal the video.

It's sad that people earn money on other people's work.Money which is much needed to help both cats and dogs.

KOLONY KATS
Yesterday we spotted a female cat being chasednon stop by multiple intact male cats. They had a one track mind and were dangerouslyrunning in and out of traffic trying to catch her.
we just knew that we were going to see one or more of these cats get hit by a car yesterday, thankfully they didn't.
We set a couple of traps but the boys didn't even let her eat.
After an hour of following them around and trying to catch her we had to leave.we went back to the arena 24 hours later and they were still chasing her non stop in and out of traffic .We approached, popped a can of food open and she came over to eat., stillfollowed by the boys.
Thankfully we were able to scruff her and contain her in a carrier.
She is now spayed, vaccinated , flea treated and ear tipped and will be released back to her location. Now she finally van live a more peaceful life.As for the boys we are going back to trap them.
Please, please, please spay and neuter your outdoor cats NOW.TNR doesn't only prevent pregnancy and kittens, it also improves the life of outdoor/community cats. They can live a much happier, healthier and peaceful life once fixed.Females don't have to be harassed by males.Males don't have to tireless roam to mate or fight for food and territory.

Kittens die outside shelters too.The best is if less kittens were born so they can be taken care of properly.

I've recently read about cat mums who gave birth just after they were trapped and ate one of their babies. It can happen if something is wrong with the baby, maybe it can be stress

.Another young cat gave birth outdoors and was in shock and didn't know what to do with the kittens. The day after when a rescuer came the kittens were still attached to placentas, cords tied up and twisted together.

A cat had given birth to 5 kittens, 3 of them had lost a leg. Rescuers think she accidently ate one of the legs together with placentas.
Some cats need caesarean section.
Too many Kittens are abandoned all over the world.

There are many reasons to spay/neuter a cat
