Oh its an option now on google.com. I had a link in the bottom right of my sreen to change the background.

I wish I could use a MJ picture for the background, but Google won't let me. It just gives me a server error when I try to upload a photo. :scratch:

yeap, i realized that you need a google account first and then click the link on the left of the page.
