Concept. There is no other word that can describe this album. It's a word that can be used simply against every argument saying it's simple or whatever. The producers really made a masterpiece. They took a lot of music that have nothing to do with each other and made them fit together as if they were made for this only.
Not like the "Michael" album, this album isn't made only of single-worthy songs, wich may make it sound at first like a poor album, but at the end of the day, it shows itself to be a great piece of art. The fact that they put the original mixes on the deluxe edition just shows how respectful they were to MJ's art.
Little note: MJ's vocals are incredible in every single track!
But just like everything, it isn't perfect. It needed a ballad like "Best Of Joy" or "You Are Not Alone".
