The DEADLIEST PREDATOR in Africa
It's difficult to imagine, but malaria kills more than 2,000 children every day. Africa is hit hardest.

You can do something to help!
trans_pix.gif
Insecticide-treated bed nets provide significant protection.
trans_pix.gif
In recognition of World Malaria Day, and made possible by a special grant to World Vision, we are able to offer you a special way to blunt the sting of this preventable disease.

Sponsor any child, age 5 or under,* in Senegal or Zambia — two of Africa's countries hardest hit by malaria — and we will additionally provide long-lasting, insecticide-treated bed nets to that child and his or her family members. PLUS, we'll provide them with critical malaria prevention and control education.
trans_pix.gif
Take advantage of this unique opportunity to make a difference today ...
trans_pix.gif
trans_pix.gif

* To select a child based on age from the child selection page, simply use the drop down menu per the example below. (Please remember, only children age 5 or under may qualify for the special bed net and malaria education offer.)

trans_pix.gif
Luciano Mateus and his family happily show off mosquito nets they received from World Vision. "We now laugh at mosquitoes because they cannot bite us anymore," says Luciano.

About World Vision

World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.

Motivated by our faith in Jesus Christ, World Vision serves alongside the poor and oppressed as a demonstration of God’s unconditional love for all people. We envision a world where each child experiences “fullness of life” as described in John 10:10.

We know this can be achieved only by addressing the problems of poverty and injustice in a holistic way. World Vision is unique in bringing nearly 60 years of experience in three key areas to help children and families thrive: emergency relief, long-term development, and advocacy.

We bring our skills across many areas of expertise to each community where we work, enabling us to support children’s physical, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

You are an example of a wonderful MJ fan to start this thread.:agree:

A few years ago, I visited a third world nation in Asia. As an 18 year old living in the most privilege and prosperous nation in the world I wasn't aware of the plight of the physically disabled people in third world nations.

One day as I was walking through the streets of this country.... in the midst of traffic, crowds of people bustling at an intersection I saw a young boy crawling on his hands and knees. That was the only means of transportation. It was truly sad and eye opening.

There is a great organization that I support and follow.
