Whatever Happened With Thriller Theme Park Plans?

I just came across this photo (from Detroit, Michigan-1998) and was wondering if anyone here knows the story about it. Apparently in 1998 Michael was planning a Michael Jackson Thriller Theme Park (I'm assuming in Detroit area).

What happened with it?

Thanks so much for the info! Too bad it didn't work out. That would have been awesome to have a Michael Jackson theme park in Detroit.
