Seeing the interviews from there, the home movie introductions, especially his walk to the first New York concert and the first performance, I wonder: Did Michael have serious problems at that time? I heard he had a drug addiction problem at that time, not sure if that's true.
It seems strange to me that it was just at that time. I don't have his time table in mind but except for the concerts it seemed he didn't have that much to do, so it seems strange to me that he seemed so down at that time. Was it because his record label let him fall? Did financial pressure bother him already?
Honestly when I saw him on TV nine years ago (I only saw this footage when he came to the first concert with Elizabeth Taylor), I really was very worried for him and feared he might die.
