Since it was planning to be a celebration of his whole career, I want to ask if there were any songs that sadly got the axe.

Here’s what the presumed set list was going to be:

Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'

Jam

They Don’t Care About Us

Human Nature

Stranger in Moscow

Smooth Criminal

The Way You Make Me Feel

I Want You Back / The Love You Save / I’ll Be There

Don’t Stop 'Til You Get Enough / Rock With You

I Just Can’t Stop Loving You

Dangerous

Black or White

Dirty Diana

Beat It

Thriller

Earth Song

We Are the World / Heal the World

You Are Not Alone

Billie Jean

Will You Be There

Man in the Mirror

There was not a definite 'This Is It' set list that would apply to all shows.

During the course of the 'This Is It' shows, they would add new songs while removing others.

In any case, you can listen to Michael Prince Special (from The MJCast, Episode 052).

In that episode, Michael Durham Prince mentions the last confirmed 'This Is It' set list.

It would have been unusual for MJ to switch different songs through a tour, he rarely did this during his main tours but i think he would have done it. I think songs like She's Out of My Life would have made it into the tour and Workin day and night. Maybe some new medleys but i think Dirty Diana would have been quite difficult to do regularly as he even struggled with it at times on BAD tour ( it was eventually removed by the end of the BAD tour) . I guess also it depends on which songs where going to be lip synched or live also.
