Posting Guidelines and board Policy for 2300 Forum

As some of you may already know, Posting privileges of some members have been removed from the 2300 forum until further notice, Due to the exessive hateful attacks on the Jackson family and opinions not posted in a respectful constructive manner. Members have been warned numerous times in the threads to calm down the disrespectful tone in this forum and have ignored the requests. This is not how we planned to solve this problem but due to lack of respect for the staffs requests its the only way to gain back respect for our board and some dignity in the 2300 forum.


2300 Posting guideline
You don't have to like or respect everything the Jackson's say or do but you are required to post your opinions or disagreement in a respectful critical manner without hateful insults or name calling . Any member who continues to disregarding these rules, will have their access removed from The 2300 forum.


  • Over the top name calling or hateful insults of Jackson family members. We understand there are a lot of issues with the Jackson family, concerning their actions. We are not saying you cannot criticise and question this, but please do it in a way that doesn't resort to excessive hatefulness and nasty insults or name calling. In other words, tone it down. (constructive criticism is fine )


  • Personal insults/attacks on our members on MJJC will not be tolerated.
    You are welcome to Challenge others' points of view and opinions, but do so respectfully. Critical conversation is expected when you disagree but do not be rude and please do Not personally insult or attack our members individually or the board collectively. This includes name calling or questioning members fanhood if they don't agree with your view.


  • Disrespecting or Belittling Michael as a way to 'big up' or defend other family members. This happens, whether subtly, or quite overtly and it will NOT be tolerated. This is a MICHAEL JACKSON board, and he will remain the number 1 priority here. There are other places on the web where you can do this, but not here please.


  • Constant derailing of threads If a thread is about Latoya or Janet on a magazine cover or Jackson's performing somewhere, please keep it to that topic. There is no need to take that thread back to what they said/did who knows when, such as granny napping's, child support issues, past interviews not related to the topic etc. If we don't enforce this, the board becomes a free for all and all threads are derailed with the same off topic discussions. If not for anything other than organisational purposes, it becomes a nightmare for the staff. So Please stay on topic.


  • Please no posting or linking to Papz photos of Michael's children.
    You can post photos they release or from events.


The guidelines above apply across the board.


Bottom line: The actions by a few have caused great damage to MJJC not only was our reputation being attacked outside the board, It caused an exodus of members which took away much of our revenue to support this board. All we asked was for members to post with Respectful, constructive criticism and cut out the hateful insults and bashing in every thread. There are better ways to voice our opinions without all that .. We have tried to be tolerant and have asked many, many times in as many ways that are possible only to be ignored or insulted by the members for trying to enforce these guidelines.

We will choose "whatever" effective action is necessary to save this board from ridicule and the exodus of its members.

Can we please work together to insure MJJC is looked on with respect and remains a mainstay in the fan community for many years to come
