Priscilla Presley on The King's Return to Las Vegas

Only ET's Mark Steines is with Priscilla Presley as Elvis Presley returns to Las Vegas.

The inspiration for the new Cirque du Soleil show at the ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas is Elvis and his love of comic books, superheroes and amusement parks.

"It is a beautiful hotel and he has found a home here," Priscilla tells Mark.

The production will pay tribute to Elvis' music and life, fusing dance and acrobatics, live music and iconic tracks, nostalgia and modernity, high technology and raw emotion. In short, the show will be in Elvis' image: powerful, sexy, whimsical and truly unique.

"Elvis Presley: Viva Elvis" will premiere at the new ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on Friday, Dec. 18. Elvis' 75th birthday will be celebrated January 7 - 10, 2010 at Graceland.

I cant get rid of the feeling that something is wrong...

We can compare both shows purely of having new technologies and special effects bla bla (This Is It is incomparable), but ... I can not accept that MJs death was an accident.

There are so many indications of conspiracy, here is the Vegas show for Elvis, but This Is It never happened (as well as previous negotiations for MJs Vegas shows), all the media attention for Michael(s death) was used for financial gain of media, and now there is Elvis shows in Vegas, triple CD of greatest hits, all the glory is focused on Elvis, but not in the range of This Is it as for the world wide hysteria... like it was for Michael.

... take it as a comparison ... the two shows about two (dead) Music Icons...

Id say that Michael wasnt welcomed in Vegas, I mean... the investors hesitated to make a show for Michael.

Its nothing unusual to compare the two shows..., we will see.... Michael vs Elvis

(btw, dont take my word - conspiracy as a vital clue - its not, and dont twist my words, ok?)

Boy... My apologies there. Forget I said anything. I wont touch this topic again. ;)
Hope you find what you're looking for.

I guess I'm confused with the whole comparison? I mean wasn't Viva Elvis from Cirq in the works before MJ even passed? I swear I heard about it in the spring? And from what has been floating around lately Cirq is in talks with MJ's estate to do an MJ show... which would be absolutely amazing... You should see what they did with the Beatles...

I don't think it's a conspiracy at all. Cirq has been heading this direction for a while, doing shows based on artists, not just other themes.

I'd love to see this show! And for sure an MJ one!

Seconded.

Even though, I didn't bother watching the clip... Don't want to see Priscilla talk. =P
