New York, NY -- Music stores nationwide are getting their first shipments of the new Michael Jackson album, which goes on sale Tuesday.
After Michael Jackson died, sales of his music surged. In fact, nine of Billboard's top 10 spots were held by one of the King of Pop's classic albums in the weeks that followed his death.
Now, the first posthumous record of never-released Michael Jackson songs is about to hit store shelves.
The album, simply titled "Michael," features a compilation of ten tracks Jackson left behind in various stages of completion.
At Best Buy on 61st and Broadway in New York City, workers received boxes of the new CD and began unloading them in their stock rooms.
They say they'll be on shelves by closing time Monday night, just in time for early sales Tuesday.
