arent the two just completely opposite to each other?

vegas = beer, gambling, casions, women, drugs

michael = well you know, humble and sweet

why did he love vegas so much?

Probably all the lights, celebrities, music and film scene. It all sounds spectacular, im sure MJ loved it.

I loved Vegas too and I don't do any of those things either. Well, I played a little slot machine but that was it.

My favorite casino/hotel was New York, New York because well, it reminded me of home and because upstairs they had the arcade games and electric crazy cars. There's a roller coaster (which I didn't peruse). The Statue of Liberty replica! The 9/11 memorial is touching.

I also loved going to live shows in Vegas (I recall seeing Danny Gans' show (who is sadly no longer with us either). My favorite band Chicago! I saw Barry Manilow! I saw an incredible Beatles tribute band. I liked looking at the Sigfried and Roy lions. Just walking through the huge, glitzy, fancy schmancy casino's is fun. Or just lounging by the pool (well, I hated wearing a bathing suit in public). There's the lazy river at the Bellagio I think! The dancing fountain at the Bellagio! Beautiful!

Oh, and I was fascinated with the winding escalators at the Wynn...lol.

Shopping...don't forget the shopping. If you have money (which I didn't...heh) you can drop thousands there on shopping.

Last time I was there was 2005, I think. I wish I could afford to return.

There's lots to do and see in Vegas that is wholesome. But I would like to know specifically what Michael liked to do there.

I love Vegas, but I love just shows, lights and all this architecture stuff. Each hotel is unique. It is amazing. In interview with Bashir Mike said that he loves shows. Shows are really something incredible!

I'm not into those things either, but I think Vegas is a really cool place. Walking around, going in the neat hotels, shows, great buffets, ect.

what kind of shows do you think he watched?

I think he would like to watch, something with great special effects and "body language" dancing (not vulgar) etc, something like Cirque du Soleil... (?).
Maybe “Phantom of the Opera” would be interested for him too and some magician shows.
Who knows?

Michael loooved Phantom of the Opera - http://www.broadwayworld.com/articl...egraph_He_Wanted_To_Play_The_Phantom_20090628

He also loooved Cirque; He took the kids to 'Love' last year (The Beatles show) and "Dirty Diana" was supposed to be Cirque style (He even stole some aerialists from Vegas to be in his show, LoL.)

Also, this. WoW. - http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2009/aug/20/michael-jackson-robot-las-vegas

So, I was right then? Good guess.. Mystery.... Michael had a good taste...

Thanks for the info. Wow a Jackson themed casino would have been something else. Can you imagine?

Here's Michael visiting Sigfried & Roy at the Mirage:

living here and being able to experience it everyday i would say he was probably able to manuver more freely. vegas is use to the celebs coming in/out and them wanting their privacy so they were probably able to accomadate him more. the strip and fast pace life is only one section of vegas the rest is mostly being reconstructed or homes that have been around for a long time.

 You don't have to be loud, obnoxious and flamboyant to appreciate glamour and excitement.

Oh i wishi lived in vegas as well!

I miss vegas sooooooooo much!!!!!!!!!!

Vegas is not only drugs,or games or woman!

Vegas is wayyyyyyyyyyy much more than all this.

It is an amazing town if you ask me.

I think that the best way i can say to describe such place is "expect the unespected, when you less expect".Maybe Michael thought the same?he always loved suprises...Vegas is for sure a very suprising place.*sigh*
