Edison (the inventor) once killed an elephant. The circus elephant 'Topsy' killed 3 people and they decided they'd kill the poor animal. They wanted to hang the elephant but that would be a litlle difficult so they wondered if anyone had a better idea. Edison then said he could electrocute the elephant.
