If a Michael Jackson fan were to be granted one wish aside from "see him perform again", this programme would be it. Former Motown stable-mate Lionel Richie runs through 30 of Jackson's bestselling singles now that he's turned 50 (Madonna, Prince and Motown are given the same treatment throughout the week).
It's a dazzling, finger-drumming three hours with stellar talking-heads, including Cher, Beyonce and Bette Midler, who explain Jackson's unequalled vision as an all-round entertainer, while producers such as Quincy Jones give background to the songs. Thrilling!
Tell you all in advance, so you don't miss it! :cheeky:
It's on Radio 2 at 2pm. You can listen to it here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/
