MITM is currently in 3rd place, but it has been catching La Roux all week and is currently only 2.1k copies behind. I wouldn't be surprised to see MITM maintaining the #2 spot in the final chart announced on Sunday.

I don't know if you read my post last week, but MJ's MITM only beat La Roux's single by 1 copy last week. If they had been even in sales, I wonder how the chart position is decided?

To be even with Cascada today, it would take just over £7500. That would likely be higher by the time the singles chart closes on Saturday.

Too much for a lowly MJ message board I think. LOL

Here is the latest update - the last we will receive before the chart is announced on Sunday.
MITM is comfortably in 3rd place, having lost some sales against La Roux since yesterday's figures. Still 11 top 40 singles at this stage, which is quite a feat if they stay there until Sunday - the 3rd chart announced since MJ's death.
Album-wise, 'The Essential' continues to dominate at #1, with sales far inexcess of it's nearest rival and increasing it's lead.
Still 4 out of the top 5 albums are MJ! again, an amazing feat if it remains like this on Sunday.

From the figures I have seen, it look as though number 1s will have added almost 1million sales worldwide since June 25th, ensuring it a position in the top 15 or top 10 best selling albums this year so far. The essential is also adding considerable sales worldwide. In the next few weeks I expect that to reach an additional 1 million sales too.
