I believe this is the first time i have ever heard anything from the august wembley show.

It sounds like a mix between live and playback? If this is 100% live, I'm impressed as always! Too bad the quality makes my ears hurt.
 
Yeh it's all lip synced, except for a couple of lines around the 1:54 mark (and at the very end, ofcourse).

The only fully live performance of The Way You Make Me Feel that I know of was at MSG in 1988. At this particular show, for no apparent reason, every song was live except for Man in the Mirror.

Could be proof that he was in fact singing out under the playback. Sounds like there may have been a playback issue at 1.54 and Michael's live vocals cover it without a hitch.

I strongly believe that the whole kansas city show was also fully live (Even Man In The Mirror)

Here is a clip of TWYMMF from the first night in kansas and its obviously live :D

Hmm can be.. When i think about it wasn't that part always live? that particular little part, so michael could say (Everybody Sing!)

Good pickup! I think you're right. That Kansas City clip is interesting. Wonder if the estate is in possession of that show.

All the vids are blocked in USA ?? by Warner Chappel - I think you can dispute that block on youtube now becuase warner no longer holds the copyright on MJ songs.

Same here :(. It happens with most of the BAD tour footage.
 
The August 26th show has always been my favorite. Especially "rock with you"

I noticed it before, and very liked it. He sings in very unexpected way.

I think that this song sounded better than ever on the Bad Tour. My personal belief is that this is the original key Michael recorded the vocals, and the tape was pitched up on the album.

Yep, I too think that's what really happend.

I'm not splitting hairs here, but the live vocal part lasts til 1:59 to be exact :cheeky:
I mean, I'm savoring all the seconds:wild: The ad-libbing is precious indeed.

Oh, around 1:21, isn't it live vocal too? Sounds different from the recording.

the reason he sang SC and TWYMMF live, is due to a sync problem (i believe) the band always played those songs live, and then the studio vocals were played alongside. Man in the mirror, had the entire studio version played, instruments and all :) as far as i can tell anyway...

so my theory is that they had a problem with the studio vocals, and were worried maybe that they would go out of time, ie, vocals quicker than the band who played live :) whereas man in the mirror they could just press play :) maybe maybe this is the reason :)
