La Toya told me the other day that she was asked to participate in the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills but turned it down. She said that if she's asked again for season 2, she'd consider it.

This got me thinking - Bravo has got a Twitter account and often RTs and replies to fans' tweets, as does Andy Cohen, SVP of programming. I've been talking up La Toya the past few weeks on my own Twitter account and have gotten positive feedback. And after mentioning my wanting her on the show, other people have voiced the same opinion.

How about we, as a fan community, start tweeting Bravo and Andy Cohen, pushing them to get La Toya for the show. It would be a HUGE coup for Bravo to get a Jackson to star in one of their shows. Why wouldn't they want her? Andy's been sympathetic toward La Toya in the past, so we've got an ally in him.

So, here are the Twitter addresses for Bravo and Andy Cohen, followed by some example tweets. Can we continue to do this over a period of a few weeks, so that our visibility is heightened? Who knows - we may get La Toya on primetime TV!

Include the hashtag "#Toytastic", so that we can track how many people are sending the tweets!

Bravo: http://twitter.com/BravoTV
Andy Cohen: http://twitter.com/BravoAndy

Example tweets:

@BravoTV @BravoAndy We want to see @latoyajackson on the next season of Real Housewives of BH! #Toytastic

@BravoTV @BravoAndy Get @latoyajackson on Real Housewives of BH! She's already friends w/half of the cast! #Toytastic

@BravoTV @BravoAndy Did you know @LisaVanderPump's BFF is @latoyajackson? Why is SHE not on Real Housewives of BH? #Toytastic

@BravoTV @BravoAndy Bravo loves the drama - so why not cast @latoyajackson on Real Housewives of BH? You know she'll bring it! #Toytastic

@BravoTV @BravoAndy TOY 2012! I vote to cast @latoyajackson on the 2nd season of Real Housewives of BH! #Toytastic

@BravoTV @BravoAndy Did you guys know @latoyajackson is BFFs w/3 of the cast members of RH of BH? Get her on the show! #Toytastic

Sorry, maybe I'm missing something, but WHY would LaToya want to be associated with a television program that promotes the WORSE women have to offer.

In my opinion, those types of shows are TACKY and project women in the worse possible light. I mean, you ain't a hit in a "Housewives" series unless you get in a fight, turn over a table, throw a chair or are a backstabber of sorts. Why would a fan of LaToya want her to be associated with such vular programing?

Why no Twitter campaign when she was on AcessHollywood speaking on behalf of "Dancing With The Stars?" At least that's more respectable than any of those Housewives shows are.

Bravo and the Real Housewives franchise guarantee high exposure. They get millions of viewers every week - many more than Access Hollywood, where she was only featured a few minutes each week.

The Beverly Hills spin-off looks like it's going to be rather tame, just like Washington DC. With La Toya already being best friends with three of the women (Lisa VanderPump, Kim Richards and Kyle Richards), I, and many other Toy Soldiers, think she'd fit right in!

Not all of the women in any of the series are traditional 'housewives' and not all of them cause drama. There was no major drama in the DC series other than the White House State Dinner party-crashers in the last episode. Bravo look for women who are hard-working, career-driven and confident, with a full schedule.

La Toya just signed on to do Celebrity Apprentice, is launching a skin care line and is gearing up to finally release Startin' Over. Real Housewives would be the perfect medium in which to promote it all.

I won't do that. I will, however, start a twitter campaign for Latoya to stop bashing her recently deceased brother. And to get out of her cheesy arrested developmnent.

Where and when, pray tell, has she bashed him? She's only had the most positive, uplifting things to say about Michael and his character for years.

Don't you have to be married to be a house wife?

This sounds like an interesting campaign but like ginvid said wouldn't she have to be married? i don't watch this show so I don't know much about them.

Latoya? the first person to say murder and has be adamant about finding out the truth to her brother's death. Can you please quote her bashing Michael?

Not all of the women in any of the Real Housewives series are traditional 'housewives'. Bravo have said that rather than looking for women who are married with children and spend all their time cooking and cleaning, lounging by the pool and spending money, they look for hard-working, career-driven, confident women.

Tell me again, why i should help LAYTOYA JACKSON.??? Not in a million yrs would i ever lift a finger to help that woman. The world can forgive her, i can't.

Save all the lame excuses about her now dead husband controlling her. LATOYA expressed what was inside her all along.

Who has time to waste on Latoya?

Here is a reality show I'd support 100000000000000% :

Someone flies a plane with Latoya, Randy & Jermaine and drop them in the South Pole to fend for themselves.

I'd watch... If she succeeds in selling that idea to Bravo...I will sue her for a share.

Some MJ fans are.....KOOKOO

Well...Michael forgave her...a long time ago too

:)

None of us is Michael.

MJ couldn't stand Randy...so why don't ya'll do the same???

How does Latoya even have fans? What has she done other then bash her brother calling him a *********** back in the 90's and making terrible pop music? Yes, she's entertaining because she's coocoo, but who takes that seriously? And I don't buy the whole 'My husband force me to call my brother a *****' because that came from within her. How she came across so aggressive and forceful in all those interviews and press conferences about MJ accusations...that had nothing to do with her ex-husband. That's all latoya. Years of being jealous of Michael's success is quite obvious why she said that. If you look at an interview she did back in the 80's with Michael (in Encino - filmed at night in front of the home) she said many times how she wanted to be as successful as Michael and Michael scowled at her saying something of 'this is just the begining of my career'....

Latoya, Jermiane, Randy...all them were jealous of Michael's success. Even Janet. As successful as Janet was back in her day she is in no way in Michael's league.

So yeah, Michael might have forgiven her, but he was a very forgiving guy. Us fans kinda smell through the BS, even now. This to me doesn't look like a woman scared for her life and needing to make stuff up so her hubbie would not beat her up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjantrV4NUA&feature=related Toy's not that even a good actress. She re-canted in order to be allowed back into the family.

Latoya is a trainwreck which makes her entertainment. She would fit perfect in 'Housewives'.

The only reality show I am interested in is a full TRUTHFUL mini series on how and why Michael was killed, with the last episode showing ALL involved in his death being arrested and put away.

Well I like Latoya despite what she did in the 90's and I agree. I think it was coming from her not necessarily her ex husband. Latoya is not doing those things now and she has recanted so there's no reason for me to hold onto those words. And yes, I agree that many in the family were jealous of MJ. Its not a crime. Its human.

No we are not so why should you be mad in the first place? when did michael say he couldn't stand randy?

Hmmmmm...let me think....Probably when his bodyguard threaten Randy with a gun and escorted him off MJ's Las Vegas property?

Yes, and you don't even have to say "please".

Watch ALL her interviews since Michael died. Latoya portrays her brother as an out-of-control street junkie, a drug addict who pushed his family, as a guy who viciously lied about his father, as a demented idiot who "chose his kids from a catalogue" and as an abusive dad who didn't even "let his children meet their mother". I could go on and on and on. Just watch her interviews and you'll see. Well, actually you won't: the worst blind is the one who doesn't WANT to see.

Did LaToya really say all of that? I find that hard to believe. I'm not a fan of hers or anything, and I still have my doubts about her explanation for her weird behaviour in the past (i.e. an abusive husband, not saying he wasn't abusive but I'm not sure if that was the sole reason for some of the things she said about her family back then), but I do believe she regrets that now and I can't imagine her saying stuff like "Michael chose his kids from a catalogue" or implying that he's an abusive father/demented idiot/out-of-control street junkie. Where did you hear this?

Straight up, I NEVER believed LaToya's "excuse" as to why she did what she did to her brother.

That being said, if I recall correctly when LaToya did an interview with Diane Sawyer or one of those ABC hags, she spoke about Michael's children. Now I don't remember what she said exactly, as it was a while ago. (Maybe somebody will remember exactly what she said.)

But there was a comment made by LaToya regarding Blanket. I'm not sure what she was "trying" to convey, but it just didn't come out correctly, in my opinion.

I don't know if some family members are just not media savvy or if they just have a hard time expressing themselves. I just think that for "whatever" reason, sometimes they say things without thinking first. In my opinion, if you want to say something regarding your brother Michael Jackson you need to be VERY, VERY clear or don't say anything at all.

Don't act as if you haven't understood me just because it's not convenient. I'm talking about what Latoya has been saying after MJ's death, not while he was alive.
Go to youtube and listen to her interviews post-death. In all of them she basically portrays Michael as an out of control junkie who "pushed his family" and knew nothing about absolutely anything. Hell, on Bonnie Hunt, she even says Michael was a drug addict since he was 25! And, yes, in an interview to Daily Mail (if I'm not mistaken) she says Michael chose his kids from a catalog. I could go on and on and on.

That woman is simply a joke and has nothing more to offer than craziness.
She has said many lies over the years and then when things become risky for her - she is escapes responsibility and DENIALS her own words and behaviour?!??? And I'm supposed to say: Poor La Toya, she is so inoccent and kind, the bad guy made her do bad things?Pathetic and ugly.I don't care if Michael forgave her, we can't know that for sure.He may talked to her again after the 93' statements, but I think he always had something in mind about his sister and what she is capable of doing behind his back.

You don't have to get so defensive. Where did I say she said this while he was alive? I only asked where you got these statements from because I haven't heard them myself, that's all. Again, I'm not a fan of LaToya (on the contrary, she gets on my nerves very easily) but I just can't imagine her saying stuff like that about Michael's children.

That's not really an answer, there are loads of LaToya interviews on YouTube. I did watch a couple of LaToya interviews as you said but I couldn't find any in which she talked like that about him or his children. She did say he was 'controlled' which I find credible tbh, as Michael said so himself too in that phone call to that spiritual advisor about Thome Thome. So could you be a bit more specific? I'm not saying I don't believe you, but as a MJ fan I have learnt to not blindly believe claims without any proof ;)

Hell, on Bonnie Hunt, she even says Michael was a drug addict since he was 25!

Well, that's not exactly what she said, I just watched the interview again myself on YT. What she said is that Michael's dependency on pain medication began during the burn he got from the Pepsi commercial, which is something Michael himself admitted in that 1993 statement (when he went to rehab). I personally don't believe he was addicted to pain medication at the time of his death, but there certainly have been times in his life when he was, and that was one of the reasons he started alienating himself from his environment. I don't understand why this is such a controversial issue for some fans, it's not a disgrace to need pain killers, esp. not considering the immense physical and mental pain Michael had to endure throughout his life. However, it is frustrating when his past addictions are continuously brought up as if they have something to do with his death. Michael Jackson did not die from pain medication, period.

And, yes, in an interview to Daily Mail (if I'm not mistaken) she says Michael chose his kids from a catalog. I could go on and on and on.

Come on now, since when do we take anything the Daily Mail says seriously? They're a tabloid, they've written the worst crap about Michael, are we supposed to believe that too? I don't believe for one second she said that Michael "chose his kids from a catalog" until I hear her say it on audio/video.

Anyway, sorry Mattykoo for hijacking your thread. I have never heard of the show "Real Housewifes", is it kinda like Big Brother? Are there other famous people in there?

Wow, thank you for that post. Lengthy, yes, but you really shut down their POV. I get that some people might not like La Toya (even you aren't a fan, which I respect), but there's no reason to bring such negativity into a positive thread. Thank you for rising above that!

The Real Housewives franchise started in 2005 with Orange County, following a group of women who lived in a gated community in southern California. As the show progressed, some spin-offs have tended to showcase petty drama and celebrate some of the Housewives' stupidity and ignorance; however, Orange County and Washington DC have seemed to escape it for the most part, and New York City isn't nearly as drama-filled as New Jersey or Atlanta.

They're not uber-famous women, but some are rather well-known: Jeana Keough, OC, married to Matt Keough and former Playboy Playmate; Bethenny Frankel, NYC, celebrity natural foods chef; Kandi Burruss, Atlanta, former member of the R&B group Xscape; Kyle & Kim Richards, Beverly Hills, sister of Kathy Hilton and former actresses; and Kelly Killoren Bensimon, NYC, supermodel, author and ex-wife of photographer Gilles Bensimon.

Having La Toya on the show would definitely be a big draw.

Well, I don't know any of these people to be honest, but then again I'm not from the United States ;) I don't know how LaToya would fit in in that show because she is not married (IIRC) and therefore isn't a "housewife". Now I know you said that the show wasn't about typical housewives but surely they would include some of that into the show, like talking about their husbands and marital life etc.? Anyway if LaToya likes it she should do it as far as I'm concerned, it's her life and her carreer :) As long as she doesn't make a fool out of herself or does anything to harm MJ I'm cool lol.

Thank You LindavG for being rational and taking your time to debunk some of the unrelenting rumors angry fans spread.

I don't watch these "Housewives" shows but have only seen snippets and pieces. My 76 year old mother watches them and I just have to ask her why constantly, lol. Seems like they are a bunch of immature, whiny, backstabbing, wealthy airheads who throw tables and yank wigs. I would rather see LaToya on celebrity Apprentice where they do useful, productive things, heh.
