tweens rules the music world these days

I AGREE!!
They rule the music (taylor swift and others) and movies (Twilight etc..)

I really really don't like it. It takes the importance out of actually being an amazing talent.
I love the good days when real talet was recognized. Like, I love watching the AMA's and Grammys from when Michael was winning them all (teeheehee) because even though Michael won, all those people in the categories were GOOD. It's hard to explain....

People don't even dress up for award shows anymore. It's a whole new era of craziness and anyone can win any award! That sucks- being in 'showbiz' isn't how it used to be...

Yep, music and movies. Which is great for the industry, because they're easily brainwashed.. slap a pretty face on anything and they will buy it.

I just dont get it... :no: They have made me very cynical towards the entertainment industry right now...
 
Great Marketing though... Justin Beiber who's a new teen singer released his debut cd last week. And his people thought of a neat idea to add a "golden ticket" to one of his cds.. And whoever got this ticket won a private concert. It was only a 8 track CD and his record company will be re-releasing with a few more tracks in a few months. Taylor swift recently did it too. Kids will get their parents to buy ANYTHING..
 
I know its starting to annoy the living crap outta me! lol I was a teenie back in the day and i admit at 26 i still enjoy and listen to bands like Hanson, BSB, Nsync, and so on and i loved when they were on tv and win awards and i miss those days when music was FUN and Talent was a real. now it doesnt even matter anymore. you can be the worst singer in the world but if your cute you get a record deal teen girls go ape shit crazy and then the marketing goes over board and they dont stop shoving this crap down our throats. im sick of it.
 
How dare Taylor Swift and her minions of tweens on the internet who say "you're just jealous", go and take Artist of the year. WTF!!!?? Does music not have integrity anymore? This generation is falling fast and it just gonna get worse. If parents don't get off their asses and raising children and record companies would stop with this marketing Bullshit then maybe people like TAYLOR SWIFT who only been in the public for one year won't beat the KING OF POP for 5 DECADES!!! And then maybe we can get some talent here but you now it all one big distraction for some greater threat we all don't know of

FUCK TAYLOR SWIFT and her FANS! FUCK the Jonas Brothers!! FUCK TWILIGHT!!! HAnging out in their little cliche it makes me sick!!!

When I was kid growing up in the 80s I knew what good music was. Especially since my 2 number 1 favorite singers at the time was Michael Jackson and Madonna. OMG did I just love them especially Michael of course. I also love people like:

Janet Jackson
The Jacksons
Jackson 5
Whitney Houston
Bananarama
Genesis
Phil Collins
The Bangles
The Go Gos
Sting
The Police
U2


And other great music like that. Hearing all these teenage singers that these really young people like. I tend to ask myself this question what is so great about them? I don't think their that great. When I had heard far better singers when I was their age. Especially Michael Jackson who is the greatest of them all. It is no wonder why I hate today's music with a passion. These young people seriously don't know what good music is. I am very lucky I grew up during a time when good music was everywhere. The 80s really was the best decade to be alive then. Because of all the great music there was back then. I so wish I could relive that decade. And the early 90s where there was good music then too.
