I just happened up on this program!

Did y'all see my husband!? :wild:
The WMA's are showing their greatest moments thru the years.
And of course MJ was there! It was the one where he performed
Earth Song in '96!

It's called, Best of the World Music Awards

It was a lovely surprise. ^_^
 
Usher just finished singing "Yeah!" and now Chris Breezy (Brown) is singing THRILLER!.

OK. Guess we can move this to the MANIA section now. Lol!
 
I'm watching The Best of WMA's Says they're showing MJ after the break..

Aw! They ended the show with this MJ performance.
The caption at the bottom of the screen read,
"In memory or Michael Jackson"

But my heart was racing as I watched.
Especially the part where he throws his sparkly black Cavelli jacket
into the audience....accented on "We ARE the Woooorld!"

I guess it was just me and you who were excitied about the show.
About seeing Michael.
 
I loved seeing him on the 'Best of' I loved that part (the jacket) & when he was handed the flag..I miss him!!
 
this is the only awards show that has remained legit, and respectful from it's beginning, to it's present.

They know how much I love MJ so....

I dont know Romi. I had a video link all ready to post
(Earth Song-WMA's 1996), but didnt seem like anyone was interested
so I didnt post it.
Even tho I.we have seen it before, it's like when I hear an MJ song
on the radio....I react like I've NEVER heard it before.
Its just something about that that excites me.

I only watched the last hour of it. But they screwed up on the one year. Where Diana Ross was performing. And Michael was sitting in the audiance. They said it was from 1997. When it should have said 1996. I know because I remember taping the entire 1996 WMAs back then. And I clearly remember her doing that in 1996. Because she went over to sit on Michael's lap. That was just so cute seeing the look on Michael's face. I still have that whole award show on tape of course.

So, there is a high possibility that this year will be about Michael Jackson at WMA, or?

There are/were so many sales records... and Michael sold most!

I can imagine Michael winning all the awards!

I just happened upon this programme last night about 15mins. into it. I missed the Earth Song performance though but, man was I smiling at the very end when MJ was walking on stage smiling and singing, about to throw his jacket into the audience!

I thought the WMA's for 2010 was to air in February...not sure
but I'll take a look. This show was called, "The Best of The WMA's".
I just dont like that there was only one MJ performance.
Ricky Martin, Beyonce, and several others that I cant think of right now, were shown 2 or 3 times.
But they did show him excepting awards a few times.

Thats how it happened for me. That's why I was so excited about it.

Who was that who spoke about the year discrepency with Ms. Ross?
I just figured I was mistaken. I too have it on VHS and I would have eventually checked.
I thought it was 1996 as well when Diana Ross went into the
audience, sat on MJ's lap (he blushed)and sang her song.
It was great!
