Lets see if it can be as good as Thriller is. I used to rate Dangerous as his best work as a teenager but I think that was because it was the first album I ever bought and I played it daily until HIStory arrived. Now I still rate it but I find it too long, like most albums are too long since LP’s were replaced with CD’s. You can obviously go a couple of routes to complete the task. You can go with a full blown 9 track NJS album, a classic MJ record or a mixture of both.

1. Black Or White
2. Remember The Time
3. Someone Put Out Your Hand Out
4. Heal The World
5. Give In To Me
6. Who Is It
7. Can’t Let Her Get Away
8. Dangerous
9. Will You Be There

Pretty good imo

8 track album

A1 Black Or White (3:22)
A2 Remember The Time (4:04)
A3 Earth Song (6:46)
A4 Who Is It (6:35)

B1 Blood On The Dance Floor (4:13)
B2 Will You Be There (5:54)
B3 Give In To Me (5:30)
B4 For All Time (4:03)

to me Dangerous is better than Thriller, but here it is:

1. Jam
2. Why You Wanna Trip on Me
3. Heal the World
4. Black or White
5. Who Is It
6. Give In To Me
7. Will You Be There
8. Keep the Faith
9. Dangerous

Watching these tracklists it just makes me ponder about how much better it would have been for us fans that albums continued to have just between 8 to 10 tracks. This most likely would have meant more album releases. Now the album discussions are a bit monotonous as he only released a handful solo ones as an adult artist. I think they should re release Triumph, The jacksons, destiny and goin places as MJ solo albums 😜

What a good dynamic, even though I'm somewhat indecisive... These would be good for me:

1 Dangerous
2 Work That Body
3 Monkey Bussines
4 For All Time
5 Blood On The Dance Floor
6 If You Dont Love Me
7 Black Or White
8 Slave To The Rhythm
9 Keep The Faith

9 songs is a bit tough given all the hits on Dangerous & the ones that didn't make the album, so lets see:

Notes: intro to BoW and the orchestral intro to WYBT are cut for time restraints & flow. Dangerous left at full. Blood On the Dance Floor added to keep uptempo feel of the album + I really think it belonged on here (assuming there was a final mix by Teddy). Heal The World could have just been a stand-alone single for charity that he performed on the tour IMO

Jam [5.4]
Why You Wanna Trip on Me [5.25]
Black or White [3.20]
Remember the Time [4.0]
Give In To Me [5.30]
Who Is It [6.35]
Will You Be There [5.52]
Blood On the Dance Floor [4.14]
Dangerous [7.00]

Running time: 49 minutes

Give in To Me
Who Is It

There. It's a 9 track album like Thriller. Exactly like Thriller.

Uptempo, midtempo pop ditty, duet, title track, rock song, main pop song, ballad, uptempo, closer yearning ballad.

5. Black or White
6. Who Is It
7. Give in to Me
8. Will You Be There

And deluxe version would include Someone Put Your Hand Out, after BOTDF.

Literally just a plain patty on a plate. No bun, no toppings.

Michael had no idea how to trim an album, he didn’t know in the 80s but he needed to because of the limitations of LP’s. In the 90s he could do whatever he wanted which resulted into uneven albums. I still love Dangerous though, thanks for making it 😀

Dangerous is fine as a 14 track album. In this case, more was better. The only changes I'd make, are replacing the 3 weakest tracks (Trip, Driving Me Wild, and Can't Let Her Get Away) with 3 stronger tracks, cut some of the intros and outros down, and put a 15th track on the album to finish the set (Someone Put Your Hand Out....IMO that song outro would have made a fantastic album outro)
