October 14th, 1972:
Michael Jackson's single "Ben" became his first #1 single. He was 14 years old at the time.

Quote of the Day:
"It's sad to get caught up in the past. That's why I don't put awards in my house. No gold records, no grammys. They're in storage. I don't like to be puffed up with pride, 'cause I'd feel like I don't have any more things to reach for. And that's not true."

Very happy days, I remember it so well....wish I could turn back the clock.............. This is still one of my all-time favourites. It had a lot of radio play, and whenever I could, I turned it up full blast, just because his voice was so unbelievably beautiful.
