1984 - Michael is on the cover of May's issue of 'Ebony' magazine, which lists him one of the 100 Most Influential Black Americans.
May 21st
1977 - The Jackson 5 single on the Epic/Phil. Int. label called "Show You The Way To Go" peaks #28 in the U.S.
1983 - "Beat It" is the new #1 single on Billboard Hot R&B chart.
1988 - While in Rome for his BAD Tour, Michael visits a museum and the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican where Michelangelo masterpieces have been carefully restored. Michael is accompanied by US Ambassador Maxwell Rabb. It is reported that Michael wants to meet with the Pope in the Vatican during his visit to Rome.
1996 - Michael Jackson's single "They Don't Care About Us" hits the No.1# position on the Germany Hot Singles Charts and 2nd position on the Spain and Australian Singles Charts.
2003 - In Indianapolis, Michael Jackson was hospitalized briefly after falling ill.
