HISTORICAL DATES
1975 -The Jackson 5 release new album "Moving Violation" in the USA.
1993 - Michael Jackson single "Who Is It" goes #1 on US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Chart
1995 - Michael & Janet start shooting the video for Scream, directed by Mark Roman. The acclaimed 'Scream' video was shot primarily in black and white, at a cost of $7 million. It was choreographed by Travis Payne, LaVelle Smith Jnr,Tina Landon in May 1995. Jackson did not create the concept for the video, which he had often done in the past, but left it to Romanek. Jackson described the making of "Scream" as a collaborative effort. The song and its accompanying video are a response to the backlash Jackson received from the media in 1993
1998 - At a press conference at the Beverley Hills Hotel in LA, Michael announces his plans to stage concerts to benefit the World Peace Foundation for Children. He says, "On October 11, I am very excited to be organizing and performing the first of what I hope to be a series of concert appearances to benefit the World Peace Foundation for Children..."
2001 - A life-size porcelain sculpture of Michael on a bed of roses holding Bubbles was auctioned in New York today for $5,615,750. The sculpture, made by artist Jeff Koons in 1988, went under the hammer at Sotheby's Spring Contemporary Art Auction.
2009 - Michael attends a business meeting at the Beverly Hills Hotel with his parents Joe & Katherine, Randy Philips, his business associate Paul Gongaware and Leonard Rowe. - Later he goes shopping with the kids and he also visits Dr Klein's office with the children.
In an official statement issued today The Jacksons (Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Randy Jackson) have denied they were in any way involved with a proposed Jackson 5 reunion concert in Texas in July, claimed this week by New Jersey concert promoters AllGood Entertainment.According to The Jackson’s manager, Danny O’Donovan, The Jacksons, were never approached about participating in the purported Texas concert event with Michael and sister, Janet.
