After weeks of rumours, it’s official. Michael has married Lisa Presley. The bride, announcing that her married name is now Lisa Marie Presley-Jackson, releases a statement through MJJ Productions. In the statement, which is made in her name only, Lisa Marie says that she is very much in love with Michael and wants to dedicate her life to being his wife. The official statement gives no details of the marriage ceremony, or where it took place, saying only that the couple were married eleven weeks ago ‘somewhere outside the United States.’ Pleading for privacy, Michael’s new wife says they are now looking forward to raising a family, and living a happy life together. The 26-year-old bride said the news was kept secret until now in the hopes of avoiding a media circus and so they could enjoy each other’s company. [Video @ the end]

One Day in Your Life is a compilation of Michael Jackson's mid-1970s recordings when he was between the ages of 15 and 16, released by Motown Records in 1981. Two million copies were sold worldwide. Most of the tracks are from his fourth studio album, Forever, Michael. The other songs were taken from The Jackson 5 releases to pad the album's running time. Motown later admitted that the album was a quick cash boost generating from the success of Jackson's Off the Wall album.

"We're Almost There" is a 1975 song released as a single by singer Michael Jackson, and which was the first release off his final Motown album, Forever, Michael. The single showcased Jackson's tenor more prominently than in previous releases the past year. The song is a soul-type of ballad that sparked a departure from the singer's previous material which had included bubblegum pop. As Jackson's voice matured, Motown found it difficult to find material to suit Jackson, who had sung in a higher voice for most of the duration of his Motown (1969-1975) tenure. With the return of the Holland brothers Brian and Edward, Motown had the duo write a collection of songs to fit Jackson's age. The duo composed this song and the modest hit, "Just a Little Bit of You", which became a top forty hit after this single was released. Performing more modestly, the song eventually peaked at number fifty-four on the pop chart while hitting number seven on the R&B chart. These two singles would end up being the last Jackson released as an active Motown artist though the label would release more Jackson singles until 1984.

"We've Got a Good Thing Going" (recorded December 1971) "We've Got a Good Thing Going" was previously issued as the B-side to "Got to Be There"'s (The Corporation [Alphonso Mizell, Berry Gordy Jr., Deke Richards, Freddie Perren]) the Motown hitmaking machine known collectively as "the Corporation". While the aggregate had dominated most of the Jackson Five's early recordings and contributed their fair share to Jackson's debut, Got to Be There (1971), besides the title track, the only other cut to bear their unmistakable smooth production style is the practically perfunctory midtempo "We've Got a Good Thing Going."
Although having just entered his teens, pop prodigy Michael Jackson's star was still very much on the ascent, circa his second full-length release, Ben (1972). This LP should not be confused with the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack from the Phil Karlson-directed "thriller" of the same name, and while blessed with an undeniable visual presence, Jackson was otherwise not involved in the creature feature. Like much of the Motown empire at the time, the title track's multimedia exposure, coupled with strong crossover appeal, insured that "Ben" scored the artist his first Pop Singles' chart-topper. http://www.allmusic.com/album/ben-mw0000197848
