HISTORICAL DATES


In The Month of April

1989 - Filming begins in Los Angeles for the video for 'Liberian Girl'. The video includes appearances by over forty friends and celebrities, including Paula Abdul, Debbie Gibson, Dan Aykroyd, Quincy Jones, Steve Guttenburg, Olivia Newton-John, Rosanna Arquette, John Travolta, Steven Spielberg, Whoopi Goldberg and Bubbles. Michael dedicates the video to his close friend, Liz Taylor.


April 7

1984 - MJ's single "P.Y.T." hits #11 in the U.K Charts. - P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)" is the sixth single from Jackson's sixth solo album, Thriller (1982). The original demo version of the song was written by Jackson and Greg Phillinganes. Quincy Jones passed on the song itself but liked the title and, with James Ingram, fashioned a totally new song with that title that was released on Thriller. Michael's original demo of the song was later released on his "Ultimate Collection in 2004. "P.Y.T. has been covered and sampled by numerous artists, including Monica, Justin Guarini and Kanye West. The original demo was also remixed by The Black Eyed Peas singer will.i.am for Thriller 25. You can hear Michael singing live the opening line to his PYT demo between sets in the Dangerour Tour rehearsal videos.

1990 - Michael arrives as one of the first guests at the Taj Mahal Casino as a special guest of millionaire, Donald Trump. Trump said: "There were thousands of people literally crushing us. We had 20 bodyguards, but it was really dangerous. He dropped to his knees and started crawling to the exit. He did it so routinely, I thought he fell. And I said, "Michael, is it always like this?" He goes, "Yeah, this is nothing. Japan is much worse."

^Yeah I was going to comment on his response too. He is so calm about it. Those fans were dangerous--the way their hands tried to pull at him. Here again we have another well-known person talking about what a wonderful person Michael is & I am glad he mentioned Michael's intelligence.

^^^^ Yes he was :wub: even that bandaid couldn't compete .. He was so gorgeous that day.
 
^^I think I am going blind, because I missed the band aid. I had to click back to the photos to spot it. I love that lipstick on his cheek though--makes me think of a little boy being kissed by his mother.
 
Sometimes, when I see people get so close to him I wonder if they smelled him you know, as in what perfume he used that day :ermm:

^Oh too funny. I wish I had one of his jackets, because I am sure his perfume will still be on it. This reminds me of one of my friends who is hypnotized by her husband's natural scent. When they just got married she used to stick her nose in his neck for hours when they went to bed. Sometimes she wondered if he thought something was wrong with her. His natural smell arouses her as well. I wonder what Michael's natural smell is like.............

@Petra: I find that pretty cute of her actually, haha. Id love to know what scents he uses, just imagine fans knowing it, stores will be out of stock in no time:lol:
 
^^Oh we do know what perfumes he uses--at least some of them, and believe me many of us have them in our houses. I know I have 2 of them at home right now--Tom Ford's Black Orchid & Bal a Versailles. I do not know why but "Love and Luck" by Ed Hardy always make me think of Michael. I never heard of him using that perfume though. Anyway it is discontinued to my annoyance, although some bottles remain in certain discount places like overstock.com.
 
Ohh I read somewhere long ago too that he used (not surenow but have it somewhere o my laptop) he used Armani too i think. I just dont know why not to believe it might sound silly but i just dont :p
 
Ash that is what happens when we start talking about scents.......
