HISTORICAL DATES


1973 - The Jackson 5 perform concert at Tokyo Imperial Theater, Tokyo, Japan

1979 - The Jacksons perform the 3rd of 4 Destiny Tour dates in Chicago, Illinois

1984 - Radio DJ Bobby Rich on radio station WWSH Philadelphia broadcasted a "No Michael Jackson" weekend in protest of his airwave saturation over the last years. In 1978 he had also broadcasted a "No Bee Gees Weekend" on 99X in New York. Rich was later fired from two other stations for losing them listeners in his attempt to do the same thing.

1984 - Michael Jackson returns to Brotman medical center for further corrective laser surgery stemming from the burns he received filming a Pepsi commercial.

1988 - Michael performs the last of 3 BAD tour concerts at The Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas

1996 - Michael's latest video, 'They Don't Care About Us', has been pulled from the playlist of two major music channels in America, MTV and VH1, because of lingering concerns it is anti-Semitic. The song originally contained the lyrics 'Jew me' and ' k ike me'. Bob Jones of MJJ Productions, says the singer: "is not a racist, as evidenced by his many endeavours on behalf of people of all religions." An Epic Exec. agreed, registering disappointment with MTV's and VH1's actions'.

1997 - Michael's "Blood on the Dance Floor" single debuts at #1 in the UK. The song was released as the first single from the remix album, Blood on the Dance Floor: HIStory in the Mix. Jackson and Teddy Riley created the track for the 1991 release of Dangerous. However, it did not appear on that record and was released in 1997. "BOTDF" was the only track from the remix album performed on the HIStory World Tour.

2009 - Michael Paris Prince and Blanket go shopping at Off The Wall Antiques and at the Ed Hardy store on Melrose Ave in West Hollywood, CA.

2009 - The 2nd week of TII rehearsals continue at Center Staging.

AWW i love BOTDF. I really wished he'd perform some of his ''less known'' for non fans at his concerts. most of the world tours it was the usual set list with different intro's etc. and im so sorry for saying this, but some fans in the stadium are looking at the camera to see if they're being filmed, I'd kick their asses if I were there. Look at the man infront of you people!:lmao:

When you think of what is allowed on the airwaves, this sounds so ridiculous. I love Blood on the dance floor too, but I think Michael tends to have the set list that most fans ask for.

Glad that Rich guy was fired. There he was trying to stifle talent, while forgetting that he did not own the radio station & could lose them money.
