HISTORICAL DATES
1974 - The Jackson Family performs the tenth show of fifteen scheduled at the MGM Grand Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada.
1979 - Jacksons perform the 1st of 2 non-consecutive Destiny Tour concerts at the Valley Forge Music Fair, Pennsylvania.
1980 - Epic releases "She’s Out Of My Life" the 4th single from Michael Jackson's "Off The Wall" maling him the first solo artist to chart four top 10 singles from the same album.
1988 - Michael Jackson performs the 1st of 3 nights of his BAD Tour at The Rosemont Horizon, Chicago Illinois.
1997 - Michael arrives in Paris, France at the Grévin Wax Museum for the unveiling of his wax figure there.
The Grands Boulevards had to be closed off by the police, in collaboration with the Grévin Museum. After greeting the excited crowd and signing autographs to fans, Jackson and his entourage enter the Museum. French mime, Marcel Marceau makes a surprise appearance at the unveiling and performs a pantomime act for the Michael. He imprints his hands in clay, as well as offers one of his “HIStory” triple platinum record to the Museum. On exiting the building, Jackson once again greets his many admirers and signs autographs. Melissa, a young girl runs to him happily and hands him a photo to be autographed. He dedicates the photo to the girl and she runs off, only to return to him three more times. Jackson eventually takes her in his arms as her parents take a picture. He also acknowledges a fan in wheelchair, bends down to her level and signs an autograph, after which reaches out to kiss both her cheeks.
