The King of Pop, who would have turned 52 years on August 29 and who died last year, will be remembered by millions of people across South Africa and the world.
With a theme called Dress Like Him, Dance Like Him and Win Like Him, the event is expects to attract many Jackson lookalikes.
Organised by the social networking event Life@40'nBeyond, the event, which starts at 1pm, promises "to rock as guests try to outdo each other in a bid to be the best Jackson in terms of dress sense and dance skills", according to event organiser Terry Mokoena.
"For those who don't know about it, Life@40'nBeyond is a lifestyle club founded by House of Zodiac Promotions, which hosts a themed social gathering on the last weekend of each month. It brings its members together to socially network and participate in fun activities with like-minded people.
"Every session is filled with cultural and social activities. You might even bump into an old friend you haven't seen in ages," Mokoena said.
Their most recent get-together was former president Nelson Mandela's birthday celebration. Club members got together to sign a birthday banner for the icon.
Before this, they organised a Youth Day school disco, where members dressed as pupils , in memory of the students of 1976 and the Bafana Bafana Tributes, which showed appreciation for South Africa's national team.
They also held a book launch for leading businessman and veteran banker Gaby Magomola's Robben Island to Wall Street.
There is always entertainment galore at Life@40'nBeyond events and this time around Soweto-based dancers Cassius and Nini Thlotlhalemaje and Wendy Ramokgadi, creator of the popular diski dance, will be doing Michael Jackson's famous dance moves and thrilling the crowds.

Come along for a good time.

Sounds like a great idea but I do hope it promotes "healthy competition" between everyone ;)
