Just off to see Tito at the MEN, I imagine that his tribute to Michael will be the most "appropriate" I have yet seen. Gladys Knight & Dionne Warwick also performing last time I saw them all was in 2001 at the 30th anniversary concert. Will be sad reminder but I hope uplifting at the same time, anyone else going ?

Going to see the show on Sunday, let me know how it goes

Hey Hello

Please let us know what you think.
There's a short video from YouTube posted on http://www.mjbackstage.be/UKnews.php

you have the chance to be able to see him opn stage.
I know he will be singing MJ and J5 songs. but will he also perform on his own songs ? Like "big legged lady", "i gotta play"... ???

I saw Tito last Friday at Wembley. He was good, did lots of blues music to begin with and then he covered lots of Jacksons hits including Heartbreak Hotel. He had 3 backing singers one of whom was Nicole Jackson and they did a majority of the Jackson song vocals. Tito sang on the blues ones himself and was onstage about an hour.

Katherine and Jackie were in the audience, I could not see Jackie from where I sat but you could see Katherine in the VIP area. Tito mentioned that he and his brothers would like to come back to the UK and tour.

He wore this white suit with a white rhinestone encrusted armband. He did talk a little about Michael saying that the last months had been tough.

Is this the show with Gladys Knight?

I have to say I thought Tito was fantastic, do not misunderstand me but I for the 1st time appreciated how hard it must have been being a very talented performer and never being able to step out of your younger brothers shadow. He & Jemaine would both have had a career even if they did not have the Jackson name

I agree with you. Tito is an excellent guitarist and Jermaine is an excellent bassist. unfortunately the record industry only had room for one male Jackson.

From the concert I appreciated that Tito's first love was not R&B or Pop, but blues. Must be hard having to write and perform other styles when something else was closer to his heart.

Poor Tito.

Joseph's band The Falcons played blues songs. Katherine wanted to be a country singer. The blues in general, doesn't sell much or get radio play. That's why blues acts tend to play in juke joints.

He joked that occasionally if something went wrong onstage with one of the instruments, his brothers would urge him to play some blues on his guitar but other than that he never got the chance in public.
