Janis Dasilva, Born in North Chicago, not far from Gary Indiana. Her Dad worked for the Rail road and owned a Gas Station and Grocery store, her Mom a Nurse. Janis has 2 brothers and 1 sister. At age 13 Janis met and formed a friendship/relationship with the (Kid that would be King) Michael Jackson, in the Mid-west.
Janis had a dream of being a reporter, and learned a lot fromMichael about Cameras and the Entertainment Business. Both Janis and Michael were very young, and very wise pre-teens.
After Graduating from OrangeCoast College in Costa Mesa, California, Janis started to put her pictures of Michael Jackson and herself together to write a book.
The book "Thrilling Moments," Self Published by Janis Dasilva,J.L. Tiffany Publishing. (J is for Janis, L is for Loves and Tiffany is her Daughters name.) Janis Dasilva owns the Copyright(c)1987 #TXu275819 under the Alternate title: "Dreams Can Come True" Janis owns the Story and all Photos in "Thrilling Moments," of Janis with Michael and the Jackson.
Janis gave a copy of "Thrilling Moments" to Michael Jackson in the early 1990's. Michael Loved the book and quickly telephoned Janis. Michael put Janis in Contact with his Lawyers and they arranged to sell "Thrilling Moments" in the (MJIFC) Michael Jackson International Fan Club worldwide.
The fist order from Michael Jackson International Fan Club was for100 books. "Thrilling Moments," went on to sell around the world with Michael's help.
Many fans from around the world remebered Janis and her book, andwere happy to see the book show up on Facebook.
Mrs. Jackson Michael's Mother thanked Janis and remebered the book,when she found out Janis was also friends with another one of Mrs. Jackson's Long-time friends.
"I love the book, the book is wonderful." Michael Jackson kept repeating that over and over into the telephone to Janis the night he 1st read "Thrilling Moments."
Michael Jackson and Janis Dasilva's friendship/relationship didn't get much press, Michael liked private friendships/relationships. The two were friends for 4 decades, with Trips to Neverland, VIP seats and Backstage Passes to Join MJ on the "Dangerous Tour in Japan 1992, the two remained friends, with deep respect for one another, which caused jealousy by some that worked for MJ, but MJ stood behind "Thrilling Moments." Sandy Gallen, was MJ's Manager at the time MJ sold "Thrilling Moments" in MJIFC.
Janis was on the National T.V. talk show "Bertrice Berry," in the 90'sinterviewed about her friendship/relationship with the King Of Pop Michael Jackson; Janis has given 1000's of Radio and TV talk show interviews. Mrs. Katherine Jackson remebered the book and Thanked Janis for writing "Thrilling Moments." Many agree it is a sweet Diary of Love and friendship between Janis Dasilva and Michael Jackson.
