Michael Jackson's "Thriller" re-enters the chart at #42, due to its annual digital and radio resurgence linked to Halloween. The song sold 35K digital copies this past week, bringing its grand total to 3,472,000. (No other Halloween perennials made this week's Hot 100. "Monster Mash" by Bobby "Boris" Pickett & the Crypt-Kickers was the week's #2 Halloween-themed seller, with 28K in sales.)

This is the first time that a MJ song has re-entered the Billboard Hot 100 since they changed the charting rules in 2012. Before that older singles weren’t able to chart.
ETA: It’s also #20 on Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart.
