Thriller Era Michael Age Progression Discussion!

michaeljacksonwithoutsurgeries.jpg

first one looks like my daddy bak in the 70s LOL almost spitting image
and the second my brother funnily enough, although neither of them look anything like mj

mj is perfect no matter what inflictions he had on his health....i dont know about you guys but his physical changes just made him more intriguing and beautiful in a way?
just like a forever changing piece of art.

Those pics are funny. I saw the first one a long time ago, but it's still funny.

I'd rather see one more realistic though. One without facial hair and without graying hair. Just one that shows what he might have looked like today without the afflictions he was burdened with.

But no matter what Michael looked like, I've always appreciated him for his work and I've always appreciated him for who he was as a human being.

As far as his looks over the years are concerned....I first became a fan during the heights of the Thriller era. That's the Mike look I will always love the most, with the military regalia and the one glove, etc.

I remember the first time I saw the cover to the Bad record back in '87. I'll admit, initially I was taken aback by how light his skin was. Many people my age were. I didn't exactly know what was going on, but I just put the needle on the record and quickly got over it and accepted him anyway. I figured there must be some valid reason behind it, but I just didn't know what it was at the time.

And then when I watched the video for Black or White debut (it was an incredible multi-cast across several channels....I mean for real...it was an EVENT!), I thought to myself "Man, what happened to his skin?"

BUT THEN....in the Oprah interview he revealed his skin condition and then finally I understood. I wish he would've let everybody know earlier. I'm just saying that because it would've been easier for me (and other fans) to deal with the haters at that time. I had friends in the early 90's telling me how they used to like him but "anymore he don't wanna be black....he ain't proud of being black", etc, etc. And I'd defend the **** out of him but I didn't have anything concrete to base it on....until the Oprah interview.

I understand Mike's need to keep his stuff private at the time, but seriously...people were talking...and it would've helped him....God bless him...it would've helped him if he would've come out with the vitiligo stuff earlier.

Anyway....after that Oprah interview....I finally had some ammo to use in my defense for him. But it really was bittersweet. On one hand, I was glad to finally have some solid stuff to defend him with against the haters, but on the other hand I was so sad for him. I almost had wished that it was self-inflicted so it was under his control....but sadly....it wasn't. And that really made me sad for him. I mean....Mike felt like family to me as a kid. Wait...maybe even more than that. Back in the day (esp. the early 80's Thriller era) he felt maybe even more like an angel than a family member. It's hard to explain. But I'm sure a lot of peeps know what I mean.....esp. if you were around back then. :)

Anyway...lol....as far as this topic goes.....the one thing I'd be interested in seeing is what Mike might have looked like without the diseases like vitiligo and such. As far as surgery goes....whatever....cuz Mike did what he felt he had to do for the reasons he had...and he had VERY valid reasons for feeling the way he did....God bless him and rest his sweet soul.

To be honest....completely honest here......the only thing I really didn't like about Mike's looks over the years was the straight hair lol. From the first time I saw the video for 'Remember The Time' I really couldn't dig it at all...lol But besides that....Mike's looks was cool with me.

Real talk....Michael was always....(and I'm straight so don't take this wrong....I see him as family.....or maybe even more like I said above)....a beautiful man with a beautiful soul....and we should all strive to be more like Mike the same way Mike strived to be holy like our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We will always miss you here on earth, Michael! May you be in peace and we look forward to singing with you in heaven one of these days. Until then, we gonna represent and carry forth your pure, kind-hearted legacy!

^ Great post defdave! :)

:)

Thanks, Campari. Just pourin' out my soul here. Michael has always had a major impact on my life and I seriously appreciate him for bringing me so much joy throughout my life. I mean....as far as HUMANS are concerned....besides my parents and my sister....Michael made the most impact on me that any human being ever made.

As I stated before though....and I really feel I need to say this. The most impact I ever felt from a human being was Jesus Christ...BUT...he wasn't just a human. He was God in the flesh. I'm gonna stop there though. No religious debates or nothin so if any yall wanna reply to that....forget it.....I ain't gonna reply so it's pointless. It is what it is. :)

But yeah...Mike is THE MAN. Let's revel in the brightness he brought to us while he was here. And...not only that....

LET'S KEEP THE LIGHT HE BROUGHT US ALIVE.
KEEP THAT LIGHT ON, EVERYBODY.

Edit: Let's stay on topic...lol

What do yall think about these pictures? Anybody else rather have some pics of what Mike may have looked like as a "superstar" in 2009 rather than what Mike might have looked like as a stay-at-home dad? ;)

That bald dude does not look like Michael.
Not his eyes, not his smile.
Maybe a brother. Maybe Berry Gordy. :lmao:

Michael has always been way more than family.
Not to get into it, I had a very crappy childhood.
I became a fan right after Dangerous came out. I'd never seen or heard of Michael before. We weren't allowed to watch MTV and our parents controlled the T.V.
I remember going to buy OTW and Thriller. I had no clue what the covers looked like or what he looked like from that time.
As soon as I saw his eyes and that smile, I knew it was him, no matter what the rest of him looked like. Color is only skin deep, we all look the same on the inside.
As someone wise once said, he's only wearing the scars on the outside most of us wear on the inside.
I had never seen the Oprah interview. (not till I had internet in 1995.) However, even at the age of ten, I wasn't buying this bleaching B.S. either. I might have been young, but I wasn't born yesterday.
He always felt more like my big brother/father/bestfreind/lover  (Hey, I stole a good line from Moonwalk, but it's true!)
I've never thought of him as this *superstar* he's way more than that.
He's honestly why I'm still here today.
Every time I tried to end things, he wouldn't let me.
Thank you Michael.

Hehe that mustache have him looking like Morris Day from The Time :D

Berry Gordy?!
:D

LOL

Yeah...He looks like Morris Day....which is crap because Mike never woulda look like that. lol

That's why I wish we could see a pic of what Mike would look like now without his diseases...but a pic that's realistic taking into account his superstardom (he never would've had gray hair until maybe MUCH later like James Brown) and his style.

I'd love to see a pic of him if during the 'Thriller' era vitilgo and lupus hadn't set in.

The plastic surgeries I totally understand after reading in 'Moonwalker' and the private phone recordings....

But besides that.....I'd love to see him in the 'Dangerous' era with the 'Beat It' haircut. In fact, my sig has some HIStory pics where I simply edited his hair to look more like 'Victory' tour Michael......and I think the effect shows that the Michael we loved in 1993 is the same Michael we loved in 1984. It's still MICHAEL!!!!!!

God bless him! They may be Dangerous tour pics....but I edited them to show everybody that it's still the same Mike we ALL loved back in 1984. It's STILL MICHAEL JACKSON! IT'S HIM REGARDLESS OF HAIR OR SKIN ACCUSATIONS! IT'S STILL HIM AND HIS TALENT AND PURITY!!!!!!!! IT'S MJ YALL AND WE LOVE HIM FOREVER!!!!

how weird... its strange to think of him looking like those photos.. especially the bald one. the other one jus has a bit more dark around his eyes and a tash...doesn't really look 'older'.

i always say mike's thriller era look is my favourite,he was insanely gorgeous,P.Y.T indeed.i could stare thoese pics of him for looong and cant help thinking aloud ,omg, sooo beautiful.

actually in my view he is the most beautiful person on this planet inside and outside throughout his life no matter how he look, his eyes and smiles, most of all,his pure soul as escence of his integerity never changed with aging
at one time i thought the trial would have made him less angelic and more worldly because of exposure to the evil humanity to the utmost ,hence became more cynical and self protective for good .and till one day after his passing i found a pic of 09 wherein his big eyes seized me inside,i collapsed in tears suddenly, what i saw is eyes as innocent as a baby's .as insecured as of a young deer, and i said to myself that this man never changed inside no matter how much he was hurt by ppl though betrayed by them over and over time he keeps innocent like a child who has never seen the ugly face of the cruel world.

Here's one where they took a photo of Michael at age 13 and age progressed it to age 45:

Kind of looks like Biff Tannen from Back to the Future

Too true! And I also agree about the straight hair thing, MJ had lovely curly hair, thats when he was the sexiest. ;)

Haha, my dad has the same hairstyle. :D

I agree with everything you said! Thriller era is his sweetest era - when he wasn't being judged harshly or ridiculed, and he had a wonderful carefree nature (go to youtube & type in unauthorized interview of mj... you'll see why.) he was the sweetest and deepest human being i think i've ever seen - it's a shame that i had only realized this at the time of his death. He kept up this spirit all throughout his life, and if everyone on this earth was like him, this wouldn't be such a bad place.

Thank you for posting the other age prog. photos, any more?

Here are some I found:
