No difference in sound quality ;)

Even the only SACD of a Michael Jackson album - "Thriller" of course - just includes the regular "2ch, stereo, 44kHz, 16Bit" material available everywhere.

I just received an e-mail from cdjapan which says that blu-spec cd contains 12 bonus tracks. Which songs would that be?

just found this at Audio Video Revolution Forum about sacd of thriller

Somebody at Sony like SACD chief David Kowakami NEEDED to speak up and say this stereo mix wasn't close to good enough. It sounds terrible compared to other records of the era and worse than most other SACDs. Sony Pictures had the same trouble with The Fifth Element on Blu-ray but gave people a revised verion. Thriller is more important than The Fifth Element without question.

How could a record company not mix Thriller in surround? I know the record was mixed in surround by a VERY famous mixing engineer but that mix was never released to consumer. Those who have heard it - say it is OFF THE CHARTS

There is no real point buying the Blu-Spec version of Thriller.

I hope that Thriller does get released in surround someday. That would be great to hear.

I have a 5.1 mix of all MJs albums. Sounds bloody brilliant! But you need DTS to hear it.

the sound on this cd is better than the sacd version. more detailed.

only worth buying if you have a good hi fi system
