All 9 songs have been contemporary reimagined by todays hottest producers. Producers whose name you'll definitely forget in two years have been given access to the songs vocal stems in order to let them live out their wildest fantasies.

A deluxe edition with the original album tracks on an additional disc is specifically addressed to Michaels longtime loyal fans.

For a limited time only there'll be an ultimate collectors edition containing the 2 disc deluxe edition cds, a vhs tape containing the albums 3 short films as well as a piece of synthetic tiger fur.

I am also angry at seeing an April Fools Prank, on this day of all days, April Fools day.
 
If they really wanted to get the fans excited they'd announce a new album, Dangerous 30 or BAD Tour 1988 on Blu Ray. Thriller's been done to death. But that would probably be a very cruel April Fools joke so it's for the best they didn't
 
most people who read my posts (or even see my screen name) know that i love the 'thriller' era more than anything💜. i rushed in here so excited. only to be let down😥. what a cruel trick. why couldn't you do this for the ones that came after 'thriller'? smh..

I'm sure they didn't do it with you specifically in mind
 
If they only release the 4k version.... that'll be enough for thriller!! Like why even go through all the trouble just for 1 screening anyway. & the fact that they have it in archive now along with other precious footage is horrendous. Like wtf if the estate doing today. Tbh I don't think they are planning anything. I feel like they made so much money off mj & the fact that knew him personally &we don't...I know for a fact that they don't care about him or us. Only when they run out of money is when a new bs project is coming... chalk??????WTF
 
Should they decide to upload it on youtube - can they somehow change the current version with the new version so all the views are not lost?

Otherwise they should have both versions online so the 1 billion views are not lost.

I really hope they do make the 4K version available online, Netflix would be nice. The Estate should make a deal with Netflix so Netflix can have the live concerts - Wembley and Bucharest (and hopefully more), the BAD25 doc and From Motown to Your Town (OTW doc) and Thriller and Ghosts in 4K, and Moonwalker - and also the music videos in longs versions. - and the making of docs. That would be great.

I'd favour a deal with Disney+. Such a deal could make Captain EO in 4K possible.:love:

The performance just ended. Maxwell flubbed a line or two but he did very well overall. They used a background spotlight on him reminiscent of the green light in the Rock With You short film.

There wasn't any commercial or big announcement for Thriller 40 during the show, but I'm assuming the "official" press release is coming tomorrow.

Tbh I was a little disappointed. I didn’t love the performance, though I did love that Maxwell was obviously emotional about performing it and I love that he ended by yelling “we love you Michael Jackson!” Especially when ALL night, except for right before introducing Maxwell, they wouldn’t say Michael’s name and just referred to it as a tribute to Thriller. I also wish they would have shown some video montage of Thriller’s impact or something, with some visuals of Michael. But whatever. I am glad someone who loves MJ did the performance and honored him.

Unrelated, but I thought the vast majority of the show as a whole was total crap lol. I’m very disconnected from modern music though, so what do I know lol.

I will say, this has led to me playing Lady in My Life on repeat so that’s good I guess lol.
 
Beautiful performance! Happy he did that and acknowledged Michael.
This is probably the first time I have heard one of Michael's songs in a different voice. I have been actively avoiding them, it feels strange. Did not give me butterflies like Michael's original (stating the obvious), reminds me even more how sweet and magical Michael's voice is. But still Kudos to him for doing this.
 
Is there ANY official from the estate? Why are people so sure they will announce something ?
