MJJC really needs a thread like this, for none other than Sly Stone and his band. Sly is our friend because MJE bought Sly's Catalogue back in 2019.

Sly Stone’s lone quote on the deal: “Thank You Mijac (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin).” John Branca and John McClain, co-executors of Jackson’s estate, also shared a joint statement: “Sly and the Family Stone were a force for enlightenment and positive change, a message that Michael believed in. He recognized Stewart’s genius and the power of his words and music which is why he first acquired the catalog and why we at MIJAC follow in Michael’s footsteps today.”

Founded in November 1966 by Sly Stone by merging The Stoners with his brother Freddie's Stone Souls, this new sound was unique and carried powerful messages and changed the mindsets of the people all over America and beyond. Sylvester Stewart's artistry is a powerful force which is imperative to every healthy mindset on the planet.
We are one.

Sly & The Family Stone are pinnacle to the tapestry of Soul ,Funk, RnB, shaping Rock and Psychedelia. Based in the San Francisco Bay area, the unpredictable and innovative Family Stone was one of the first acts to feature blacks and whites and men and women all performing and singing simultaneously.

Relaxed interview on Mike Douglas show , Fascinating to watch. Piece of history. Mike’s co-host is Family man Sly Stone, who talks about his music, his INCREDIBLE costumes and his 138 Mercedes, a gift from Doris Day. His friend, Muhammad Ali joins them, but Ali's in a fighting mood. And he says exactly what he thinks.

Really exciting performance here. Taken from the top comment from this video...
"Often in rock, soul and funk, the charisma and power are weighted to one or two players, the lead singer or guitarist. Here, everybody is an absolute powerhouse yet they are a seamless and supportive team. This is amazing and profoundly beautiful collaboration."

~And this supporter agrees!
