the moonwalk?

my friend who is also a mj fan told me that mj wasnt really the first person to perform the moonwalk. i always thought that he was.. but i didnt want to argue if i wasnt sure. was there someone who did it before him??

Bill Bailey, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRByZlHS6GE jazz/tap dancer did something similar and marcel marceau did a walking-against-the-wind-walk. It was built on from that.

Yep, he made it famous, but wasn't the first (and never claimed to be).

MJ perfected the moonwalk and made it famous.
Before anyone says it's not called the moonwalk, MJ didn't call it the moonwalk according to Thriller 25 book. The media dubbed it moonwalk and MJ just went along with it.

i think it was originally called the back slide, but even tho MJ didn't invent it he definitely perfected it and made it his own.
