My jaw basically hit the table after reading this pr release. Michael's name is nowhere to be found?
Have they come to their senses and try comeback relying only on their own talent?

Good luck to them indeed. I personally don't care what they do as long as they leave Michael alone and drop their fake tribute act. Secondly I would go blind if I had to see Jermaine copycat Michael's clothes and him wearing those skin tight leggings is too much for anyone, not a pretty sight :D

Hmm, tickets to The Temptations and Four tops in NY are much cheaper, and you get to see 2 groups? Ticket on the second row from the stage (basically the best seats) costs 84.25.

pfft, Give us a Jackson's Blu-Ray Tour Box Set (Destiny-Victory) then just finish it there.
 
Actually I am very happy that they are getting so much work. I only hope they include Randy so he will leave the will alone and let his mother enjoy her retirement. This should give the brothers some good cash. Janet has money, the brothers are making money; Latoya is getting work. Hurrah!!!! I think I will see Michael Safe before I die. I did not realize Jackie lived in Vegas. I thought he was in California.
 
So it's just the 4 bros that have been touring recently. The rest of teh family are not included, not surprisingly. I knew all siblings were never going to get along to make anything together.

Britney Spears has just started luring younger crowds to her recently launched Las Vegas spectacle inside Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. But the pop star is about to gain some new neighbors at a smaller venue nearby.

The Jacksons have inked a residency deal with Planet Hollywood that will see them perform 40 concerts, promoters for the show announced on Thursday.

The group was tapped as the next act to anchor the hotel's "RockTellz & CockTails” concert series. They are scheduled to make their debut Feb. 20.

RockTellz & CockTails is pegged as a “high-energy, one-of-a-kind live show” built around a concert and “intimate, personal stories." It sounds like “VH1 Storytellers” tailored for very seasoned acts. The Jacksons will rotate with Meat Loaf, who debuted last fall and returns in February.

In 2012 -- almost three years after the death of Michael Jackson -- Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon announced they would go back on the road for their first tour together in nearly three decades.

Dubbed the Unity Tour, the 2012 outing was saddled with the sort of headlines the Jackson family has unfortunately long been associated with.

After the 27-date trek was first announced, 11 stops were canceled and tickets for some performances were sold for as much as 66% off on discount sites such as Goldstar. And their performance at the Greek Theatre came at the height of a messy -- and public -- family spat that culminated with reports that matriarch Katherine Jackson had gone missing. Worse still was the show's poor attendance.

In an interview with The Times about their reunion, Jermaine claimed the tour troubles were not a result of low demand but, rather, a conscious decision to make time to record the follow-up to their last album together, 1989's "2300 Jackson Street." New material from these sessions has yet to surface.

Last summer the group helped headline the inaugural BET Experience alongside Beyonce, Snoop Dogg, R. Kelly and New Edition. That performance also came with controversy. The festival was produced and promoted by AEG Live which, at the time, was in the midst of a billion-dollar wrongful death lawsuit from Michael’s mother, Katherine. AEG was ultimately found not liable.

The Jacksons have struggled to answer one big question: Are they a viable act without Michael? Maybe they will find their answer in Vegas. But even this residency can't escape Michael's glittering shadow as his music and likeness form the backdrop for Cirque du Soleil's "One" at the nearby Mandalay Bay Resort.

"RockTellz & CockTails presents The Jacksons" will be performed Thursday through Sunday inside the PH Showroom at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino from Feb. 20 to April 27.

Tickets are $54 to $129, with an exclusive meet and greet package available for an additional $400 (not including tickets). Tickets go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.

Hmm...well after reading that these performances will include 'intimate , personal stories,' I'm not holding my breath to learn who these stories will be about.
 
I know it's more expensive but if I am I Vegas it will be MJOne for me!!!!
 
There goes Jermaine with that same story about having to go to the studio to record to explain cancellations. Can someone find out how much that tour grossed?

I am sorry Randy will not be part of this. In his last interview he said he was not talking to some of his siblings. I was hoping he would join them and be able to make some good money, so he wouldn't think about the will all the time.
 
Good luck to them! Seriously. I have nothing against them making their own money.

Like said before, if only they could get Randy join, maybe that would leave him less time and reason to make schemes about how to get to the money of Michael's kids.

Well, if it's in good taste, I don't mind. After all Michael was once a part of this group. If they share stories about how they created and recorded songs - like when they worked on Destiny, Triumph etc. - that could be actually interesting.
 
Probably for Jackson family fans would be an event of a life time but not for me. They had decades to work on their own while Michael was here but they chose not to and now he's not here they supposedly want to. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up using him but I hope I'm wrong this time.

You took the words right out of my mouth-this is the best news I've read in ages and hopefully, Randy will come to his senses and realize that this is a great chance. I watched a little of their Unity tour at the Apollo-and the audience loved them and they looked like they were having a good time too.
I hope its successful-this is what they should have always been doing. Especially in Vegas.

If Jermaine wants make himself sound like fool, above is just that.
Everyone in music business knows that you do not cancel show because you got sudden urge to go on recording studio:doh: They could have gone to studio during the days they didn't have any gigs, so his lie doesn't fly.
Btw, they said in their reality show ages ago that they were recording new album and still nothing.

Unfortunately some cubs are not known for their good taste, and in no doubt certain cubs will try to change the story for their own benefit. I just can see Jermaine telling there how he was driving force behind this and that, and MJ just popped in to say hello, basically his participation will be diminished for them to appear more involved. I cannot see much of truth coming out of them because they are what they are.

^^He said in that Oxman interview that he was studying to be a minister. However, I think those tv preachers make the most money or those with huge congregations. Meanwhile a Vegas gig should help our Randy out. Oh well the Jacksons might do well in Vegas since they could get the tourist crowd.

By the look of the dates for their gigs, they seem to have plenty of days off between the gigs, so if Jermaine gets this sudden urge to go on studio to do "finishing" touches their coming album, he should be a wise enough to do it in between the gigs, and not cancel any dates because of this "urgency" :cheeky:

Thanks Petra, I couldn't remember where I heard Randy becoming a minister. Maybe other brothers don't want Randy to their gigs? Cannot blame them if that is the case. The more Jackson's on the stage, the more ways they have to split the money - makes sense to me. Jermaine has Ferrari to pay :giggle:
 
I get what you're saying guys and it makes sense but it'd be better if they included Randy. He'd leave PPB alone and wouldn't be planning schemes dismiss the Estate.

I think they'll do GREAT there-I remember Donny and Marie played Vegas back in the day when the Jackson Family was there-and I had a friend who recently tried to see them in Vegas thinking that only nostalgic people in our age group would want to go-the tickets were sky-high and he couldn't even get in.
So I think the Jackson brothers should do great-if Randy changes his mind about being a minister-then hope he does it too.
 
Should not Randy take care of his own children before he starts to lecture people on religious things?

I want them to succeed at it. I mean I don't like them when they do those negative Michael things, but this is different. If they put on a show, using their own talent, I wish them well. I guess Jermaine will sing some of the lead songs? I hope they don't sing ABC.
